Truth Hurt?

I'm sure I'll get vilified for "daring" to speak this way(keeping in mind that I DETEST each and everything from the "SOUTH")................which by the way...is NOT TRUE)I just "take Issue" with the prevailing politics for that area)

So to my point.

I WONDER if......................"SOUTHWIND", would hold the same political views,................IF........his "handle" was............"WESTWIND/EASTWIND/or NORTHWIND" ? 🙄

I don't buy that, tug. One reference to the Attorney General in question was put on McCain's website on January 29, 2008. They also released a press release that same day regarding the attorney general in question. Are you suggesting that they put his name on the website and then removed it within 2 days? Most websites on the issue (albeit blogs) are claiming that the references to the attorney general were removed on or around July 13, 2008.

What evidence do you have that it was removed in January (Did I miss it?)

Thanks for pointing that out Lily.

I don’t possess any evidence that the references were removed in January! Likewise, I haven’t seen evidence to suggest the references were on his website in February, March, April, May or June. There is ample, undeniable evidence that on or about July 13th someone somewhere noticed that the references to Troy King had been removed from McCain’s website.

If and when the allegations of sexual misconduct against Troy King are proved, I will be reasonable sure that there is a connection between his name being removed and McCain’s acknowledgment of the misconduct. Until that time comes, I’m filing this “Troy King is Gay†story alongside the expose about Richard Gere and a gerbil.

I find it ironic that the ones who have stooped low to make unfounded accusations about Troy King’s sexuality, are the very ones who cite his homophobia as a reason for their opposition of him.

YOu don't find it the least bit ironic that all these "ban gay marriage" and "family values" and "good Christian" GOP Congressmen are being caught sending suggestive text messages to male pages, or trolling in the MSP mens rooms? The left has Barney Frank, who has been open about his homosexuality for decades...he certainly isn't pushing any bills thru Congress to prevent gays from "marrying". But this is part of the GOP's "God guns and gays" platform and these guys are hypocrites.

Did I say that? I task you to find one post, one, where I condoned the hypocritical actions of these “fewâ€￾ ex GOP Congressman. I’ll wait.

What happened to the few hypocritical GOP Congressmen caught sending suggestive text messages to male pages and trolling in the MSP male restrooms?

Hypocrisy? You don’t find it the least bit ironic that all those vox populi Democrats, the ones that ran on the platform, "values" of “stop the war nowâ€￾ and “end the culture of Republican corruptionâ€￾, fund the war in Iraq and gave immunity to the telecom companies?

What happened to those DNC Congressman who went against the "values" of their constituents by funding the war in Iraq and granting immunity to the telecom companies?

Tug-o,

You are Correct, when you suggest that the Democrats are not Perfect.

What's.."scary" is the "Ratio"

MORE....many MORE..REPUGS. are "shooting themselves in the foot", on almost every issue.

Perhaps a 9-1 "ratio" !

With EL-CHIMPO'S  Negative rating's Almost "OFF the charts"(YOU don't disagree with that , do you ?),.........he's made it virtually Impossible for ANY REPUG. to run, and Win.

In a way, this up-coming election, is akin to "SHOOTING FISH in a BARREL", for the Democrats !!

When OBAMA wins on 11/04,..the very FIRST person I will think of(believe it or not), will be that Skanky BI*CH(Katherine Harris/Florida), and at the time that "BO" wins, I'll procliam........................"WOW, it is true what they say................that................What GOES Around, Comes AROUND" !!!!

Read slowly tug...there was a vote to fund the war (soldiers). The democrats asked for a tentative timeline for withdrawal and put it in the bill. Bush Vetoed itl They tried again. Bush vetoed it. Around that time, the rumblings from the right were the the democrats did not "support our troops" and were "holding up" the funding bill. They voted FOR troop funding, AND a timetable for withdrawal. Our great war president VETOED the bill, and then tried to paint the democrats as withholding funding for our troops. And....read really slowly here...I think that the vast majority of Americans do not understand that it takes a 2/3 majority to override a veto. They didn't have that. And since just the war got funded and nothing else, the average voter thinks that they did nothing. What fun it would have been for you had they stuck to their guns and insisted on a timeline...you could have blamed every serviceman's death on them.

I also notice that little W and big Dick are announcing plans for withdrawal from Iraq. Last I heard, they were withdrawing from Iraq and moving over to Iran.

What happened to those DNC Congressman who went against the "values" of their constituents by funding the war in Iraq and granting immunity to the telecom companies?
Well - I blame Bush for the war funding WITHOUT the demands of the democrats. As for the telecom immunity - vote them out...democrat or republican. While I don't think that a telecom company that was only following the republican law of the land by conducting illegal wiretaps and violations of privacy should be held liable in a lawsuit, I think that rather than grant them immunity from a civil lawsuit, they should have tightened up the FISA rules that Bush has flaunted. For THAT - they should be voted out.

I haven’t been keeping up with Bush’s approval rating, the last I checked it hovered around 30%. If there’s a prize for the lowest approval rating, it would clearly go to Congress. The last I checked, their approval rating was in the single digits.

Based on these rating, if Bush is the worst President in history, then Pelosi must be the worst Speaker of the House in history.

Again...I place the low approval rating of Congress on the ignorance of the American public. They voted them in because they were fed up with Iraq. They knew that you can't just load up the troop transports and bring them home, so some funding was necessary. When they try to get this administration to give SOME idea that they have a plan, it's vetoed. More than once. Then they become "troop haters". Public ignorance doesn't allow them to understand 1 - a veto, and 2 - how to override a veto. I suppose they could have against Bush's troop funding - but you have to admit - it they did that, the Bush administration would have been first in line to show flag draped coffins coming home (even though they prevented that for 5 years) to illustrate that "because of the democrats - this has happened". Then he prays. And when God talks to him...he doesn't listen.

Fair enough.

Gotta go KCFlyer, I'm having an ATF night . . .if you know what I mean. Talk with ya later.

You of course are aware of the Clintons, experts at deciept and personal destruction aren't you?
Wasn't it Teddy boy who drew the line for the party and started HC's downward slide?
We haven't seen the end of the Hillary game....wait until the convention.

Dude,

Didn't turn out quite the way you expected. Democrats Wednesday officially nominated Barack Obama to be their candidate for president, making him the first African-American to lead a major party ticket. Sen. Hillary Clinton motioned to cut the roll call short saying, "With eyes firmly fixed on the future, and in the spirit of unity with the goal of victory, with faith in our party and our country, let's declare together with one voice right here, right now that Barack Obama is our candidate and he will be our president."

There was a scintilla of hope in me, however, that such a prediction would come to fruition The Dem convention needs a little more "excitement."

OK......but the Clintons in all their glory have stole the moment from your chosen one....

She starts her 2012 campaign tomorrow..... 🙄

Duh

Dubble Duh

I didn't quite expect her to bring down the house....but I bet it was discussed.
She dropped the roll call vote as it would have been devisive and left her in a poor light politically.I expect her to be a real American sweetheart for the next four years now.
Bubba is still in denial.....whats an ex-prez to do?
