Twinkees Dead, Union Charged with Ho-Homicide..

The members gave and gave and gave and the executives got richer and the company had a failed business plan.

Dont let the facts get in your way.

Hostess CEO says strike was fatal blow for bankrupt company and that it is too late to fix it. Nearly 600 could lose jobs in Schiller Park and Hodgkins bakeries.

"We deeply regret the necessity of today's decision, but we do not have the financial resources to weather an extended nationwide strike," Gregory Rayburn, Hostess' chief executive, said in a statement.

Twinkie CEO Admits Company Took Employees Pensions and Put It Toward Executive Pay

Hostess company continues to screw over its workers.

AlterNet as a reliable, accurate NEWS source makes Breitbart.com look like a Pulitzer Prize winning publication. You should be ashamed of yourself. Usually you at least take the trouble to post court documents to support your point. The bottom line here is that Hostess AND Union leadership sucked and the grunts got F**ked. Seems like a typical day in the labor field. Labor unions today are not about the rank & file. They are all about the dues revenue stream and how they too can pick the workers pocket. Bad enough we have the IRS thugs after the fruits of OUR labor, but hey as long as those at the top of the union get theirs it's solidarity forever right?

Sad to read cluelessness like this:

I suspect that any member of the Bakers' union who thinks that new owners would hire them are in for a big surprise.

When you gamble, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

I see someone buying the various Hostess brands and producing large numbers of Twinkies and Ho-Hos primarily in right-to-work states. Probably in the south.

Hostess Brands Inc. announced it will give workers one-time bonuses of $1,250 and one year of free snacks as a result of the new GOP tax legislation.

The company produces bakery snack cakes such as Twinkies, Ho Hos, Zingers and Sno Balls. Each week this year, a representative from one of the company’s bakeries will choose a different product, which employees will take home in multi-packs, according to Bloomberg.
