U.S. Pilot Age Goes to 65

Since everyone else is chiming in, I'll give my opinion as a 61 year old retired pilot. It has nothing to do with medical standards, capability or lack thereof, money, pension or lack thereof, etc.......

I doubt there is any airline pilot still flying who hasn't worked their entire career knowing that they had to retire at 60. During their career, much of their advancement up the seniority list was due to their fellow pilots having to retire at 60 - heck, at US that's almost exclusively the reason for advancement since 1991 (there has been the occasional unfortunate death).

As far as I'm concerned, it patently unfair to the younger/junior to effectively say "Now that I'm at/near the top I want the rules changed." For that reason (and that reason alone) I was against changing the Age 60 rule, wouldn't have remained if the rule had changed before I retired, and wouldn't go back even if the law allowed me to regain my former seniority.
