What's new

Uniform Pictures

Anybody not named Piney Bob see a pattern beginning here?

The only pattern I see here, is a series of pathetic posts from someone who will never be happy as a passenger on US and feels that as long as "he" is miserable, he better drag the rest down with him.

If you don't have anything good to say....please stop. Try to post some of the positive things now and then......and don't say theren't aren't any, because that would just re-inforce your ridiculous comments that are always self absorbed.

A pattern beginning? Nah, this downhill pattern started awhile ago; nothing new about it.......

Piney

Anybody that has been on US Aviation long enough knows you post bad AND good. What amazes me is that I seem to be the only one that has seen the toll the crazy changes have had on you guys THRU these post.

I for one thank you for your post and will be getting the mock crew. I love it!!

I have to say that I agree with NOT wearing a single uniform UNTIL the company gets off their A$$ES and gets a SINGLE contract done. A single livery, reservation system and website does NOT make us a single company. So lets not make it so easy on them. You want a single unified group in a single uniform flying on a shiny white airplane then give us a single contract. ONE CONTRACT ONE UNIFORM.

I agree with you 100% I dont work here so I can wear a uniform I work here to earn a paycheck ans support my family, morgage, car payment, insurance, kids education....etc...When the uniform can pay all those then YES ill be happy in a new uniform but show me the G*D DAMN $$$...ENOUGH SAID!

You people are delusional!

Yeah, say nice things. That'll fix it.
Be selfless.....
He's a passenger, client, you know, the person spending money and giving it to LCC, for Gods sake.
Let me spell it out. He is giving his perspective on his personal, consumer experiance. For many years.
Yer a twit.

I don't think your delusional if you are NOT on the band wagon that the company wants everyone to be on. This is NOT ONE COMPANY. We need a contract to cover ALL of the flight attendants. PERIOD. They want the customer to see ONE livery, ONE website, ONE reservation system and ONE UNITED HAPPY WORKFORCE. Well friends, you can have a gleaming new airplane and uniform but we are ALL still working in the horrible conditions. Do we ALL not deserve MORE than a new uniform? New uniforms are great but the problems are more complex. Management wants to have us all look the same yet we certainly are NOT. I don't think there is ANYTHING delusional about it. Just not on the bandwagon is all.

Just not on the bandwagon is all.

My dear there is no bandwagon to be had. I am tired of being and seeing my coworkers in shabby 1980's uniforms. If you and others are willing to risk being sent home without pay because you are in direct violation of the uniform policy, then go for it. If you think that is going to speed the negotiating process I hope you and others have a few dollars saved.

I have my own ways of getting back at the company, but I refuse to walk around in these shiitty uniforms any longer than I have to.

Here is a positive:

Total miles added from 03/15/04 to 03/09/07 1,009,240

sky high states: I had a gentleman on my flight years ago. On the DC-9 in COACH.
He showed me how he kept records of ALL HIS FLIGHTS over the years. Every one of them documented. If my memory serves me right, it was well over 900 flights. I turned page after page of documents. I shook his hand. Later, in the flight I gave them some cheesecake from first class. I had hoped my accolades made him FEEL LIKE A VALUED PASSENGER.

Bob, whether you are posting negative or postive experiences, THEY DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE to the EMPLOYEES. WE ALSO REMINISCE on how great our "service" used to be.
It's almost like we have to SHAME this company into CHANGE.

Your continued passion also deserves..........accolades. <smile> Art and Piney.

only stating opinions.

I think it's great that the uniform is comming. I don't want to be in this tired old uniform anymore either. The company DOES want everyone to view us as one carrier when we certainly are NOT a unified workgroup. They are intent on making everything look as one when the truth is we are VERY seperate. If enough are sent home are they going to ground the whole operation? I think they need to understand that we are a little ticked at the pace of negotiations. So someone answer THIS, "Why is it that a f/a not wearing the NEW uniform when it's made mandatory will be sent home yet no word of a pilot being sent home? Hopefully we will have a contract close to being finished by the time the uniform becomes available. I just don't think it's right. We have been wearing it for a zillion years. Whats a zillion years and a few more months. GET THE CONTRACT NEGOTIATED. If only this many people were interested in the elections of their local as they are new threads and a fashion show. Quite a shame actually.

What airline do you work for pretending to be a US Airways employee insulting our customers?

The uniform was part of the plan from the start of this merger. If you were around, you should be able to recall that for FA's, a new uniform was the first thing on their mind.

You have some good points, but don't try to tie a single contract, pace of negotiations into whether or not you like or will wear a uniform, because like it not...you will be in a new uniform.

I don't understand why the persons who chose these uniforms and 'modeled' them could look so bad.

Did they think some one else would look better?

How selfless.

Why on earth are there displays of the "current" uniforms in the PHL crew room? One is the male uniform and the other the womans uniform displaying the skirt. Well, some DO need a reminder of HOW to wear their uniform. 🙄

Well, I think you just hit the nail on the head.

Didn't they start "100% compliance" March 1st???
