"and then back and forth one-liners. These are sent out as E-Lines! "
Here is the e-mail, judge for yourself; however, I still do not see the "back and forth one-liners" you speak of. Seems as if it was one e-mail sent out in responce to his single e-mail.
*shrug*
What do I know. I only received this single one.
I have never had a problem with Bobbi and she has always answered my questions quickly.
Anyway, let's stop beating around the bush and just put the e-mail out there for all to see and judge for themselves.

Dear Flight Attendants: Below is email correspondence between a MAA flight attendant and Myself. It is the request to resign my position as the MEC President. Please read all correspondence. And also note, that this email is coming from a flight attendant who has been on MAA property as a FA for 4 weeks.
Â
Thank you,
Â
Bobbi

Below are the answers to your questions
Â
Â
I would like for you to tell me and the other Flight Attendants who are included in this email the “strong indications†which you were given by “US Airways†officials.Â
Â
I spoke with Jerry glass on several occasions over the last week. After an ALPA representative spoke to me, I called Jerry Glass to get his comment. Jerry is the one who told me that the deal may not go through.
Â
I do not in my personal opinion believe you to be the BEST person to represent the Flight Attendants here at MidAtlantic.
Â
Im my personal opinion, Isaac, I find it very difficult to believe that you could have ANY opinion on what I have done over the past YEAR at MAA, seeing as you have been her for 4 weeks. You have no idea what all has been done.Â
Â
1.Un-returned phone calls (too numerous to detail here)
FALSE:Â I return EVERY phone call, and if Im not able to, I direct it to the appropriate person.
Â
2.Your voice mail message stated that you were on vacation and would NOT be checking voice mail and provided no number for any assistance.
FALSE: First of all, I am entitled to an uninterrupted EARNED vacation just as every other flight attendant is. I left that message, that I woud NOT be checking voice mail as a COURTESY to the flight attendants who did not know I was on vacation, because I did not want them to leave a message and it go unanswered. My message clearly stated that Joele Allen, and Melanie Stanyard would be available to answer ANY calls. Both of those officers phone numbers are posted in numerous places.  One of which is on MAA's AFA Website, which I provide to everyone on the day of orientation. Both of those officers received phone calls that whole week.
Â
3.E-mails go unanswered for a very long period exceeding two weeks or more.
FALSE: You keep accusing me of not returning phone calls, and not returning emails. That is absolutely false. You give me ONE instance where an email went unaswered. I have never had an email from YOU, other than this one, So, are you basing your information on what someone is "telling" you, or fact?
Â
4.Failure to secure and provide to the Flight Attendants a contract after a year and a half.
You have no idea what has gone into putting this contract together. MAA started with nothing. We had to build on a contract that was in place which takes many many months.
I invite you to speak with Jerry Glass, and get his take on why the contract is not complete.
I also would like for any F/A to speak with the Lead Negotiator for MAA's contract and get their view on it. We are not ready to "settle" for what the company wants to "give" us. If it was as "simple" as you make it seem, to secure a contract, I think this would be a more wonderful industry to work in.
Â
5.The PERSONAL appointment of your friend Shawn Ferris to the negotiating committee.
The MEC President, according the Constitution and By Laws, has the RIGHT to appoint a F/A to a committee position. Shawn had been a reserve for many months, and was appointed by me to the committee for his input as such. I also know his work ethics and dependability, which also played a role in my selection.Â
Â
6.The failure to respond to ANY of the Flight Attendants who have shown an interest in volunteering to help on various committees despite your request and form you presented at base orientations.
FALSE: The FA's who show an interest, are given to the chair of said committee. The Chair then makes the decision based on the needs of the committees. I think that this point of yours is purely personal. When you approached me at orientation of having an interest, I told you I appreciated your interest and I would keep your request on file. You hadn't even had your feet wet with MAA yet. You did not understand the reserve system yet, therefore it would not have been of help to the committee for the incentive package, to have you on it.
I am terribly sorry if you do not understand this.
Â
I would also like to ask you why you chose to wait so long before filing a grievance on behalf of the Flight Attendants regarding the sale of MidAtlantic to Republic?
The decision was made to wait until AFTER ALPA filed their grievance.Â
The F/A group has ZERO language in the contract forthe sale of MAA. Basically, we have no leg to stand on. By letting ALPA file first, and having an expedited arbitration, thier outcome may have affected our filing. The AFA Attorney's and Negotiators, along with myself, made this decision. Another reason to wait to file, was to use it as leverage against the company. As long as the company thought we were not going to file, we had leverage with them. Obviously, that was something that I could NOT publish to the group. Wouldn't you agree?
Another reason to wait is because there were a few documents that needed clarification by the AFA Attorneys and the Company's Attorneys, that could have potentially hurt our grievance and the outcome of the contract, should the grievance been filed before obtaining the completion of the documents. Therefore, it was in the best interest to wait to file. Whether we filed it 4 months ago or 4 hours ago, has no bearing whatsoever. It's filed.
Â
Do you not believe it would have been in the best interest of the Flight Attendants to file the grievance at the onset of the announcement and finalization of the offer?Â
NO, I don't. See above comments as to why.
Â
As such I would like to offer you the opportunity to resign your position as President prior to the petition being handed over to the AFA International Secretary/Treasurer.
Thank you for your "Opportunity" for my resignation, by I will not be resigning. For me to resign and leave in midstream would be ridiculous. I do not quit anything I start. I have been here since day one, and have made MANY changes. NONE of which you have seen, due to your 4 weeks here at MAA. I have built a relationship with each and every individual at the company and to ask someone to step in and start over from scratch at this juncture would be insane.
Â
If you feel that THAT is in the best interest of the FA group, then I encourage you to do what you feel you have to do.
Â
I will not resign. I do not quit.
Â
Respectfully,
Â
Bobbi Riggle
MEC President
MAA Local 4

Bobbi:
Â
I am writing to you to find out if in fact this is an accurate quote (see below) which, you made to the Charlotte Observer on 16 August 2005? If it is I am personally appalled that you would release such a statement to the media before providing it to the Flight Attendants whom you supposedly represent. You of all people should know what an emotional situation we find ourselves in at MidAtlantic and should be the VERY FIRST one to provide information to the Flight Attendants immediately upon discovering any new information. I would like for you to tell me and the other Flight Attendants who are included in this email the “strong indications†which you were given by “US Airways†officials.Â
Â
Bobbi, I do not know you very well at all. What I do know of you I do believe you to be a good person. However, I do not in my personal opinion believe you to be the BEST person to represent the Flight Attendants here at MidAtlantic. I am sure you are well aware that after speaking with the International office of the Association of Flight Attendants I have decided to circulate a petition requesting an immediate re-call vote to remove you as President of Local Council 4. I am doing this for several reasons of which I will list a few below. Please do not take this is a personal attack as it is not intended to be so.
Â
Un-returned phone calls (too numerous to detail here)
Your voice mail message stated that you were on vacation and would NOT be checking voice mail and provided no number for any assistance.
E-mails go unanswered for a very long period exceeding two weeks or more.
Failure to secure and provide to the Flight Attendants a contract after a year and a half.
The PERSONAL appointment of your friend Shawn Ferris to the negotiating committee.
The failure to respond to ANY of the Flight Attendants who have shown an interest in volunteering to help on various committees despite your request and form you presented at base orientations.
Â
As you can see Bobbi there are many, many different reasons this action has taken place. I started the petition on the 12th of August prior to the beginning of a trip and with the help of several other Flight Attendants whose identity I will not reveal. We have been able to secure over half of the signatures required to call for the vote as of today. I would also like to ask you why you chose to wait so long before filing a grievance on behalf of the Flight Attendants regarding the sale of MidAtlantic to Republic? Do you not believe it would have been in the best interest of the Flight Attendants to file the grievance at the onset of the announcement and finalization of the offer? Why is it that the ALPA Pilots have passed a resolution condemning the sale and yet we have not?
Â
Bobbi, I hate that it has to be this way. As such I would like to offer you the opportunity to resign your position as President prior to the petition being handed over to the AFA International Secretary/Treasurer. I hope that you sincerely consider this option as I would not in anyway want to cause you any undue embarrassment over this matter. Should you choose not to resign I will be left with no choice but to deliver the signatures to the AFA. I anticipate this would occur prior to the end of August. I hope that you do what is in the best interest of the Flight Attendants and allow someone else the opportunity to represent us and get some things accomplished.  Â

Respectfully,
Â

From the CLT Observer's 'Flying Standby' column today:
Airline labor leader says sales deal may not fly
A US Airways labor leader says the airline has told her its deal to sell planes and landing rights for $100 million might not go through, although a spokesman for the airline buying the assets disputed the claim.
Bobbi Riggle, a flight-attendant union leader, said US Airways officials gave her "strong indications" in a recent meeting that the Republic deal would not fly. The deal calls for US Airways to sell the assets to Republic, then lease them back, while gaining precious cash. Some labor groups have objected because the deal could lead to layoffs of several hundred Pittsburgh-based US Airways workers.
But Warren Wilkinson, a Republic spokesman, said he still expects the deal to close by the end of the month. He said it is a complicated transaction and that it "takes time ..."
