US 715 diverted to Gander

According to a.net US 715 from Venice to Philadelphia with 767-200ER diverted today to Gander. Is it really a fuel diversion? :blink:

Could be. I have diverted to Gander myself for fuel. When the paperwok says you can just barely make it without a stop for fuel then you better plan on probably having to stop.

Mel added at departure time had a 40000 lbs penalty. SO, off goes the fuel and freight and associated delays. Could not take enough fuel with the penalty to make it to phl non-stop. This is a tough one to work through when it happens at departure time.
