US 767 Extreme Makeover

As for envoy, it seems those seats will take up more area when reclined(even with the feet tucking under the seat in front). I don't see how they will keep envoy on the 767 at 24 and stay within the original area. Can we see it going to 18? Hmmmmm.
The announcement said 24 seats. Maybe row 1 will be a little tighter? If so, then your net increase is 15" between rows 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, with the back of row 4 against the bulkhead since the seat reclines within the pod. To make up for it, would they actually dare remove row 5 and not make up for it somewhere else? The entire coach cabin is already tight at 32". Someone PLEASE suggest to Parker to make the front coach cabin (rows 5-11) an E+ section. Remove row 5 and space out the remaining 6 rows with 2" more to each of them. I know that's probably too progressive thinking for those people in Tempe, but....
 
The hell with the 767 interiors -- my old lady is impressed with George Clooney photo and his subsequent flight to LAS from CLT. Too bad Max his potbellied pig is in hog heaven.

Hell yeah thats too progressive. Are you kidding, they have some closets to get rid of. I'm surprised they haven't decided to take the closets out of envoy. They obviously don't consider our int'l f/c anything special. 🙄
 
Well one thing that has become apparent to me is that the 767 I was on was not nearly finished. So I'll take back my comments and reserve judgement until I ride in one that is complete.

Same here, but I did fly on one with the leather seats. I like the seats. Someone did rush it which is why you may see a few string.

Digi players - I know that MAXJET / AEROFLOT / AIR INDIA / AEROLINEAS ARGENTINAS / LAN CHILE /CSA / LOT / EOS / OASIS HONG KONG AIRLINES even JAL ( on some aircraft )- all of them using Digi players and passengers love them !!! Its cheaper for the airline , more choice for the passengers , convinient if you want to stand up from your seat . Read comments of passengers in SKYTRAX . They are all really happy !!!
I see it as improvment and not as negative thing .
Some lowcost airlines are also use these players for all passengers in all classes for a charge of 7-20 USD per use . Personally I would pay this amount myself as well to be able to see nice quality movie onboard ...
But its only my own thought ....

Who else thinks something similar to that would have been a hot paint job for US? Very modern and striking! The white one not only looks like a six year old made it it lays there like a lazy hooker.
 
Ok, while the livery has grown on me a bit lets be honest here. It's NOT the best it could have been by any means. Though it could have been worse a NEW livery should have been created with maybe keeping the flag if thats to be our "symbol". I think it's a ripoff of old scheme pure and simple. You say any 6 year old could do it? :lol: Probably not far from the truth. The quick draw of the livery was a precursor of what was to come with EVERYTHING else being "remade" here. It's like they are reinventing the wheel to get a beverage cart that works. Oh lordy.... :lol:
 
Leather is so much more sanitary for customers...it looks great! I hope pax don't destroy them.

Nice new paint job on the outside as well. Bravo!
 
Sanitary yes. Comfortable NO. Try sitting in that seat for 5 hours or more and see how much you sweat. The clothes seats breath and these do not. It is horribly uncomfortable.

Leather is so much more sanitary for customers...it looks great! I hope pax don't destroy them.

Though I am NOT a fan of cramming more seats into an aircraft as our new management has done I think the 767 could be reconfigured a bit better. The dry galley between the bathrooms fwd of the overwing exits is virtually useless except for wine/amenity kits and the trash carts. That whole area could be used for center seats if they got rid of it. As for envoy, it seems those seats will take up more area when reclined(even with the feet tucking under the seat in front). I've heard that in Envoy class will be only 18 seats but one seat goes to crew rest on Transatlantic .......So count to sell only 17 seats ....

i agree... i know my ideas are very pricey, but a lav would be nice. lol. it would be nice if they could swap the last row of seats and the dry galley. i know, im babbling... 😀

😉 😉 Time to get rid of that USELESS dry mid-galley. If the packouts were done properly, this galley would no longer be necessary. They could replace it with three seats- all for crew rest and give back the three seats in back for revenue. 1 could be for pilot/2 for f/a's. Now that there are ony 6 f/as on this aircraft (767) there is only a need for 2 f/a crew rest. The multi million dollar Question???- is any body awake at the Tepee in Tempe <G>
 
Agreed. That mid-cabin dry galley/closet area should BE REMOVED. (And yes, that's a closet that has MY Blessing to be yanked off the a/c).I am sure some Engineering Guru will say that THIS AREA needs to remain for "structural integrity" or some other B*llshit, but really.....with what has been done across the fleet, WHY would you leave an area of wasted space? Maybe they could create a CashCow Service Booth :lol: A DutyFree Boutique of assorted chathski's,perfumes and snacks, a Shrine to Doug Parker or even a B*ching Booth where people can come and vent 😛 That mid-cabin area is A WASTE!
