US Air uses the smallest font of all ?

Tell that to the controllers, who used the "USAir" callsign until it changed to Cactus...

Jim

Didn't the radar show AWE when they were still going by the US Air call sign? That must have really confused some controllers....

I think it was the other way around, the strip said USA while the call sign had been changed to Cactus.

The name of the airline has nothing to do with their call sign, US Airways isnt Cactus Airways, is British Airways called Speedbird Airline?

Nope.

Really, 700??! Are you gonna also correct people when they just refer to the airline as "US", as we often do on this forum? What about when we abbreviate aircraft (e.g. 752, 762, 733, 734) instead of spelling it all out?

Most people in normal conversation will refer to US Airways as "US Air" just as they refer to Delta Airlines as "Delta" and Spirit Airways as simply "Spirit". But I guess you're a stickler for the things that nobody else gives a crap about.

If I were to say my real thoughts about his attitude I'd get kicked off here & he's not worth it. Do like
I did just put him on ignore.

Oh by the way 700 DG needs lav dumpers.

Sorry left as a Stock clerk, and Fleet dumps lavs too, so go for it.

And when your fleet service was getting laid off in 92 cause you were non-union, us Utility who only had a few years were still working cause we had a contract.

So one's job classification has nothing to do with knowledge and education.

Dont like it dont read it.

It hasnt been US Air 16 years, even the media still gets it wrong.
Well, I WILL Agree with YOUR Position wholeheartedly. "IF" an individual cannot , will not or chooses to NOT refer to a Company by it's Name I really don't see a reason to acknowledge your Issue and more than probable complaint. And that goes for the News Media that tends to get 'sloppy' with their stories.........racing to get on a story and not having any facts to go on. Kindda like saying "Airline X almost crashed when in actuality a tire was blown and it ran off the runway!". Or better yet is when the Media shows a pic of a 767 and the mechanical situation/issue may have been on a CRJ200. GET The F-A-C-T-S straight or STFU! PERIOD. I absoluely despise people that talk out of their arsce.

I wish they would have changed the name back to USAir during the merger. Then we could have had that cool USAir begins with you! slogan again. Love those old commercials on youtube.
