"For example, Kirby said the airline is fighting against the perception its operations aren't running smoothly following computer glitches that temporarily shut down hundreds of check-in kiosks in March.
The computer glitches and other operations challenges following America West Airlines' purchase in 2005 of the former US Airways "are largely in our past," Kirby said.
He added that some investors also incorrectly believe ongoing labor talks with pilots, flight attendants, mechanics and fleet service workers made the glitches worse.
In fact, I think our employees worked harder and did more to keep our airline flying than employees of any carrier out there," Kirby said.""
HAHA, He's such a spinster! Of course they had to work harder and do more, the tools they have don't work and actually make the operation worse.
Once again, you got to love the HIGH COST OF CHEAP!!!
The good news is Mr. Kirby's comments were very helpful to the stock today. It was trading at an all time low for a time and finished the day just above the low at 18.04. Very heavy volume though!
