Ugh. I take a few days off from posting and the silliness continues...
Normally I agree with a lot of what Piney Bob says. This is not one of those times. I'll simply agree to disagree with you, Bob.
As to whether or not Doug Parker's Road Trip (or Air Trip, or Acid Trip - you can choose which one you like) is going to instill any confidence in the company or answer any of our numerous questions, my answer is a resounding "NO".
Things will simply continue to run as they have before. I guess I expected more from a new CEO, but the track record of the fraternity known as corporate management has let me down too many times in too many different companies. I sat through a Town Hall, I've seen what's going on systemwide via posts and talking to others, and all I can say is that, despite shuffling and arguing and the rose-colored view of how things could be with this guy, nothing much is going to change.
That said, I think I'll just continue working until the ride comes to a halt, then I'll get off the ride and find something else. Besides, I have other things to do outside of work that make me happy. Too bad, because going into work everyday was one of those things.
