US AIRWAYS LOOKING FOR AIRBUS 340's

Well I know that "real" airlines with "real" international operations have such things. With that being said I'm sure flight attendants will wind up with a passenger seat to snooze in on their way to China.
Oh like HELL we will!!! Just like the rotating RSV issue, the union better be right on their @$$ about having crew bunks and a workable along with comfortable airplane on such a long flight.

They'll give us those old plastic folding lounge chairs to stretch out in the galley. Remember the ones that the top and bottom would bend? (click, click, click, click, click). Whatever happens you can't help but think that it will be cheap and will suck.
Oh wait....they could use those loungers as the new envoy sleeper. Yeah THERE YA GO! ! ! ! Don't need 40 envoy seats? Hell just fold a few of these up and ya got more room for coach. AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA.

Airplanes can be delivered with an almost endless number of cabin and cargo configurations. For example, some airlines have lower deck galleys on the A330, or crew rest areas. Air Canada has one behind the flight deck.

From an east standpoint we've seen what we do with used airplanes and new airplanes. The 757s from ATA got bulkhead coverings and discarded A330 Envoy seats- cheap, thrown together. The new E190s were ordered factory model, no IFE, minus optional closets and galleys. Cheap, thrown together, no thought to space for the required service.

The A340s will be used, and this team is only big on putting in as many coach seats as possible and maybe putting cheap blue pleather on them, then a goofy swoosh on the outside. They are not into major cabin reconfigurations, especially if they are expensive. Whatever the previous owner has is likely what US will get, good or bad.

wonder if a ww2 aircraft from the desert would best fit their price range such as a 4 engine prop driven ww2 era aircraft 😉
