What's new

US Airways ranked lowest in customer satisfaction among traditional network carriers.

Honestly, I don't know why this is such a shock. The management of this airline has shown repeatedly over and over that they have nothing but disdain and contempt for customers. They refuse to give employees the tools with which to fix customer problems, and I have even heard of employees getting in trouble for trying to help stranded customers.

When the CEO of the airline states publicly he doesn't understand why the airlines are concentrating on customer service, you should expect no less than this kind of ranking....

It's sad though....... I miss many of my friends who are still working at US. When I fly WN out of ISP I go to the US counter to visit my old and dear friends, and they are always happy to see me, but understand completely why I left....

Nothing short of a change in management is going to fix this.

actually he is not joking. He does believe it

I disagree with your view of what us airways management has accomplished .

You say they show nothing but distain for the customers , but after our river flight didn’t they give every passenger five thousand dollars and their stuff back after treating the belongings for water damage ?

And as far as showing respect for the general public , isn’t there another thread on this page about what our company does for military personnel ?

When it comes to facilitating transportation for wounded military personnel and their families, US Airways tops the generosity list, providing about $1 million in complimentary plane tickets a year. Steve Craven, a volunteer pilot with Mercy Medical Airlift, sat next to me en route to a recent Red Cross volunteer recognition ceremony at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He told me about the great lengths that some airlines will go to to help military families in need. For example, United Airlines and Delta Airlines have both recently offered assistance with the transportation of military personnel to cancer centers of excellence. Sadly, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, and Southwest Airlines have repeatedly turned down requests for assistance.

As to the CEO’s statement that airlines shouldn’t focus as much on customer service , what can be said except that he’s right from an efficiency standpoint . The times have changed , the greatest service we can provide for our customers is getting them safely to their destination on time and with their luggage for an affordable price ..

And you mention tools ? We got more tools then we even like using …. (hand scanners! )

If the employee’s on us airways are really your friends you’d come back and help support US airways in order to ensure that they continue to have jobs … surely it’s not to much to ask to sit in a seat for 4 or 5 hours … heck you’d get to chat up your friends ..

US AIRWAYS the airline of America …

No one will be laughing at Freedom when he and Lobjaw are promoted to co-Vice-Presidents of Jumping Up and Down and Saying "Hell Yeah!!!!!".

Art: For your kind words and support for the employees, many hearty thanks.

I sadly must agree = "Nothing short of a change in management is going to fix this."

How about an exec. cut in pay....???? YeY! It should embarass you for thaat statement above regarding getting the customers to their destination at an afforable price....that's why USAirways ranks the lowest...they transport customers like farmers transport cattle.

Shame on you, someone really needs to put you out to pasture with your mentality. If you are running this company, those same passengers you think you are doing a great service for at your "affordable price" and sarcasm...will be the ones to put your azzzss right out of business!!!!!

WRONG!!! Those cattle are treated humanely    and I believe the farmers care about them as it's there livelihood.

Indeed, but in all fairness, the posting did seemingly allude to the obvious problems with the Rio Salado gang = "And you mention tools ? We got more tools then we even like...."

Has someone received a "day pass" from the NUT HOUSE? It's scary
