Don't know if I would be using the quotes of a president who sold arms to the Iranians in a subject concerning Iran.
How 'bout one who makes deals with Terrorist's States and don't even negoitate , in the deal, the release of 4 American prisoners?

Why would you want Iran and other similar countries to take more prisoners?

Is there any proof that this will happen within the next five years.  Because the article did not say that the aircraft will be delivered before the five years is up.  Or for that matter there is an actual sale.  And what are they supposedly selling them?  Twenty four single engine aircraft.  Compare that to what not only Israel has but the other countries in the region.  The 2900 kilometer range, maybe loaded down with drop tanks.

Where's the evidence that Russia is going to be providing them with a fleet of tankers within the next five years?

Is there any proof it won't happen in the next five years?
Oh, they said they wouldn't do anything bad....

"Death to Israel, death to America"

Seems there are a few here who seem to buy into that mentality as well. So the deal is not perfect. The alternative is no deal and Russia and China step in to trade nukes for oil.

You have no deal now....so WTF?

And what bearing, if any, does that have on the here and now?

It was the paranoid line of thought that got us into Iraq and we all know how that turned out.

Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi: ‘Only the dead body of the American troops realizes the power of’ Iran’

"The western media are mocking at the US for speaking of 'on the table options (against Iran)' because the US always utters some words without the ability to materialize them and … we are ready to give such a powerful response to the slightest move of the US that it won't be able to make any other moves," Fadavi said, addressing a ceremony in the Northern city of Zibakenar on Monday.

Hold that thought, dude.

If'n y'all are so smart, have studied the history, have so much experience, and have got this all wired, then how's come y'all aren't working at State, or in the Foreign Service, or in a position to negotiate the deal that you think we should have?

Is there any chance at all, however slim, that those who have been working on this for decades might actually have a bit of insight that you that your bloggers and bobbleheads didn't have to share with you, in their 30 second rants?

How many of you have read even one book about the region and its affairs?

The Progressive stooges in the oBama admin, who have shown an uncanny ability of not knowing what they are doing, now have a shining example of their utter incompetence for the world to swallow in short order.

This is a Val Jarrett gift to the Homies if any of you have failed to notice.

"Death to Israel, death to America"

And is there any proof that it will?  The fact of the matter is the Iranian Air Force belongs in a museum.  The two most numerous fighters in their inventory, the F-4 and the F-5.  Compare that to what Israel has.   Supposedly Iran wants to buy 24 fighters that would only reach Israel if you load them out with drop tanks.  Hardly a serous threat.

Just pointing out that while Obama might negotiate with them your god sold them weapons.  Where the outrage dell?

Maybe we can sell Iran weapons and hope they release them.  Oh wait.

Seriously though if your argument is we should not talk to them because of those four Americans let me remind you of something.  Remember those 58000 Americans killed in Vietnam?  They were killed by weapons provided by the USSR and China.  Yet we still negotiated with them.

Then there is the policy that you do not negotiate with terrorists for hostages.  I wish the GOP would make up their mind.  Do we or don't we.  Obama released some people from Gitmo and the GOP was up in arms.

As South so kindly pointed out, Bush released a guy from Gitmo and he was recently busted for planning a terrorist op.

If we tie a nuke deal to hostage/prisoner release then that is an incentive for Iran to get more prisoners/hostages.  Funny how that works.

Only reach Israel with drop tanks....or Ivan tanker aircraft....

Reagan isn't my God.

I should have outrage over Reagan trying to free hostages?

Val Jarrett is at the core, not your schoolboy oBama.

And now our boys die from our own weapons ala oBama.

And Israel would see them coming a mile away.  As would everyone else in the region.

That comment says that he is.  And what you should have outrage for is him selling weapons to a country that had a hand in the death of over 200 Marines.  Because you would have plenty of rage if Obama were to announce weapons sales to Iran.

777,

It's just another case of "it's OK if my guy does it but not if your guy does it.".

Who exactly?  And buy the way 4000 of our boys died due to the lying/incompetence of GWB.

oBama already has.

200 Marines was revenge for bombing Lebanon. Hezzbollah, Syria and Iran to this day have denied involvement. WTF, we can trust the Iranians, can't we?

Coming from the " do as I say, don't do as I do " crowd.  LOL
