US/HP 302 PHL-PDX

Last nights flight (6AUG06), HP302 flight from PHL to PDX took off at 8:54pm just to turn around over western PA and return to PHL at 10:24pm. It then departed again for PDX after midnight. What was the purpose of this return. If it was a medical or equipment problem, PIT and CLE were alot closer than returning to PHL.

I believe he lost navigation data on both FMGC's

They returned to PHL and the flight was swapped out with the inbound HP 256 A319. If this happens again in Sept they will be SOL . No more Terminator as of 8-20-06.Handing the Eastside the 7:10 run to PHX WT* ? I wonder if they will send west metal in for new destinations out of PHL. 🙄
