I thought I would have seen a mention of it on here somewhere but the anniversary came and went.
I dont believe that any other 737-300 in the US has fallen from the skies since then but a few yrs after the accident a Silk Air, A Singaporean Low Cost Carrier fell out of the skies and that was a 733. not sure if it was ever solved. then there was a Metro Jet incident over Maryland due to rudder problems.JSsup said:anything definitive ever get released from the DOT yet? I mean, no other 737-300s have fallen from the sky lately... (that didn't run out of gas..)

i think from the accident they came up with procedures to circumvent the yaw damper problem.like going from auto pilot to manual.....when it deflects.robbedagain said:I dont believe that any other 737-300 in the US has fallen from the skies since then but a few yrs after the accident a Silk Air, A Singaporean Low Cost Carrier fell out of the skies and that was a 733. not sure if it was ever solved. then there was a Metro Jet incident over Maryland due to rudder problems.

hows about the 'whump whump'...full deflection on the rudder??PHL said:The Radar reports would have shown that. The 'traffic, traffic' warning, if it was real, is provided with ample time to make a correction, too. Plus, even with a near miss, the plane is well capable of performing evasive maneuvers when necessary.
