One of my co-workers who is a former Eastern employee, absolutely HATES that women. She is the one who gave Eastern permission to basically kill the Eastern employees pensions. With a swipe of her pen this co-worker needs to work well beyond the years he wanted too. And now he is living this U nightmare as well, this poor guy can still think straight, amazingly. He is a living lesson on what a lifetime in this industry can do to a person.

She is almost the same woman, a native of North Carolina who went to Duke Univ, that approved the USAir Piedmont merger, over the objection of the Administrative Law Judge, because he pointed out the elmination of competition since ther were 57 airports served by both airlines. She went ahead and approved it anyway and Piedmont was founded in North Carolina and had corporte headquarters in Winston-Salem, N.C. I think I would be leary of any help she offered!!!!!

Elizabeth Dole was Sec of the DOT, she changed the FARs to permit US owned and based airplanes to be overhauled anywhere in the world. She started global outsourcing in the airline industry.

She is no friend of labor, and she has not lived in NC in 30 years when she ran for senate, she is a carpetbagger.

You missed the whole point of 700's post. It's not about dems or repubs, duh! She was a major factor involved in allowing other countries, without FAA oversight do maintenance on United States aircraft, like the ones you fly in weekly. Theres alot more to it than I have time to explain. :down:
