USNN- US Employees Earn 1st Triple Play Payout of 2012!: April 12, 2012
Dear Fellow Employee:
The Department of Transportation (DOT) issued the Air Travel Consumer Report (ATCR) for February this morning and Im happy to report employees earned their first Triple Play payout of 2012 and also set company records in two categories. Our #1 bag performance means US Airways employees will receive a $50 payout in the next few weeks congratulations!
Our mishandled bag report ratio of just 1.85 reports per 1,000 passengers put US ahead of DL by a slim margin of 0.08. Its clear that your dedication to making every bag count paid off. Its also our best monthly DOT baggage performance on record.
February was also our best monthly DOT A14 performance on record. The industry continues to run a reliable operation the Big Fours average on-time arrivals rate for February was an impressive 87.3 percent. DL remained in the lead by just nine additional on-time arrivals per day. I know we can continue to narrow the gap just as we did with bags and reclaim that #1 position as well.
Finally, we achieved our best customer satisfaction ratio since March 2011. Im often asked about our customer satisfaction ranking. It can be discouraging to see high numbers and low rankings in that category when our operation is performing well. Many factors influence our complaint ranking, but by focusing on delivering friendly and helpful service to every customer and being particularly diligent in helping customers who have experienced disruptions to their travel, we should be able to work together to drive continued improvements in customer satisfaction.
Be sure to head over to Wings (wings.usairways.com) to meet our Triple Play All Stars PHX Baggage Resolution Specialist Joe Rainone and Piedmont Flight Attendant Lukas Tyler. Their names will go into the next Above and Beyond drawing for a chance to win up to $10,000. To nominate someone as a Triple Play All Star, email corporate.communications@usairways.comwith the subject Triple Play/Above and Beyond and include a brief explanation of why he or she should be an All Star.
Congratulations again on our first Triple Play payout for 2012. Looking ahead to March results, our D:00 came in at 74.9 percent, meaning US Airways employees are on their way to earning at least another $50 payout next month.
