Velvet sat in on the meetings with management when they were discussing the new policies. She didn't do a damn thing to intervene and or give the information to local presidents or anyone else about what was going on. She decided on her own that these policies were in our best interest. Who in the hell is she? Where did she get the authority to make these decisions? She held on to this information until the last minute, then released it to the locals. Making it to late too try and negotiate anything!!!! She should be employed by US Airways because that's whose ass she is kissing. She must be getting a kick back from the company. Something under the table, my dear Velvet.........She needs to go. Did she not think that someone would figure out what's going on. Traitor is too good for her. Goodbye Velveteen.....

The union had nothing to do with the new point system .... and can do nothing about it. The company has a right to one. Furthermore it looks pretty reasonable. If it's an issue for you, obviously your problem qualifies for FMLA... use it.

You need to focus your anger on important things, like there being no retirement here.

usa1,
not sure about your CWA contract but this "imposing new WORK RULES" on the fleet service

sure is a VIOLATION of our contract.. the phrase "WORK RULE ..CHANGES " is in violation of a binding

agreement . after all what is a contract.. an agreement between 2 partys to perform task and abide by

work rules and so on and so on .. The problem with the CWA is they have to many company men /women

running their union .. I think its time you guys take a page out of fleet's book and CLEAN HOUSE. elect

people that will be HELD accountable to the MEMBERSHIP THEY SERVE.

This is not just about sick time you idiot. This is about a policy that has no forgiveness you can't even get in a car accident and you have to drive to work in fear that nothing goes wrong. it's about treating your employee's with respect. They are so incompetent that they can't even come up with a sick policy.

We were misrepresented by our Union and I for one am fed up with that part we never have a voice things are swept under the rug by someone and they have to go.

petition should be in the works to have her removed......

Doc....
NICELY PUT AGAIN....I WOULD QUOTE YOU BUT WE ARE ON FLOOD CONTROL...LOL

obviously it is either Velvet posting in disguise or one of her BFF

Last time I looked at my contract there was nowhere there that said anything about the CWA having any ability to negoitate attendance. The company can implement any policy they want regarding attendance and CWA has NO input. Have you ever thought that Velvet had no part in this decision? No it is much easier to shoot the messenger than hear the message.

I am not drinking anyone's Koolaide, I just know my contract.

CWA can't negotiate attendance, but they can file grievances when the new policy is in violation of the contract. AND IT IS.....Apparently you don't know the CONTRACT! Management ususally doesn't. The only decision she made was to negotiate level III from 18 months to 12 months. Why didn't she speak up when there were several violations that go against the contract?????? If she was doing her job, you wouldn't be seeing so many posts about her. Get a CLUE. You need to drink the koolaide. It might help..............

You guys have struck a nerve!!

I'd be very very careful what I post as someone is very upset and is actively trying to identify posters.

I can't and won't betray confidences and I hate to be so freaking cryptic.

Let's just put it like this. The dress you're sewing is made of "Crushed Velvet"

Isn't it sad that rather then address memberships concerns, Big V is gonna hunt you down.

Just goes to show her arrogance and sense of entitlement. Great leadership skills oh plump one.

Not only do we have to worry about US management, but now we have to worry about our own union officers coming after us?

Something is really wrong here.

Time to take back our union like the IAM did.

No more "Letters of Agreement", and Velvet must go!

Time for Cohen's party girl to buy her own drinks.
