In CLT last Saturday. Listening to an announcement that must have been written by the E-bonics 101 professor. Customer sitting next to me asked "Did you understand that?" I just smiled and said....NO. Was embarrassing. I still have no clue what was trying to be communicated. Luckily another agent took over the announcement duties.

For crying out loud! Does anoyone have some info regarding VLOF? SO sick and tired of seeing the same people post on here the same "sassy nasty" bullsh!)" Some on here need to get a grip of what is important in life. The same people post the same BORING diatribe day after day.

An inflight sup in PHL today told me that they will offer VF in 2 sections of 4 months. SEP.-DEC and JAN-APR. He didn't know about insurance coverage during that time or anything else. Details are supposedly being worked out and since East and West have different contracts, the process is slow......as usual the union is saying nada. Someone said the first VF will go very senior cuz it covers the holiday season. I've flown with people that are chomping at the bit to take it but they need insurance coverage while they are off which we know the company hates to give because of the high expense.

If you are still paying your monthly healthcare dues, why should the company care? It is not costing them anything, plus you are not on the payroll either!? I could be wrong with the logistical costs? I know the Westies are sure wanting VLOA's asap! Why not offer a fair buyout package with health care till the end of the year?

Ohhhh WCT there you go trying to make sense again. I agree....I'd be ALL over it. I guess they'll work the details of the VF's out a week before they start. You have airlines of TRIPLE the size with all the details worked out for their flight attendants that want to leave permanently or for a little while yet because of two contracts STILL (companies fault) we know nothing of ours.

The monthly insurance premium paid by the employee only covers a fraction of the cost. The company pays a larger portion.

I think it would still be less than keeping a more senior person here.
