The elections are done. Now it's time to get the show on the road and be somewhat unified. Well we sure will SHOW THEM (the company) that were mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore. Hell we can't even get folks to vote. I will give him his chance and let the office do it's thing. I hope we see results. The office will be watched closely I'm sure.

i like john as a person but i do not think he is the right person to lead the phl f/a's. that's just my opininon . and i am also pissed that out of 2,500 f/a in phl only about 800 voted!!! you should all be ashamed of yourselves!!! you get what you pay for !!!!!. don't #### when crap does not go your way !!!!. management is laughing at our membership as we speak !!!bunch of losers!!! that goes for the people who did not vote!!! :angry: I HAVE ALREADY CHEWED OUT A FEW!!! My question is this, why waste all that time getting rid of LA just to elect someone who will bring her right back into the office?

Let there be NO doubt that JM and LA are CLOSE (and cut from the same cloth).

Close enough that JM has been her confidant AND her Ghost Writer. Surely you must remember that it was JM who wrote LA's campaign letter when she ran and was defeated in 2002!!

I can only guess why JM ran in the first place but I can guarantee that it was NOT to improve the plight of the PHL FA's (JR or SR.) JM is concerned only about JM and maybe LA.

I believe he may have run to either use the union as cover to dodge yet another termination attempt (third time would be the charm) and/or is looking to open the back door for LA so they can both raid the coffers.

JM owes her, she was the one who saved his job the first time back when she was Lrz's VP he knows, she knows ALL about his seedier side).

Do not expect to ever see him in the office.

The guy will do exactly what he did when on the 3 year VF sit in front of his computer in Wilmington, drinking and writing trash that has as much truth in it as the Enquirer.

Hearsay, rumor and the web is JM's only research. He will constantly be asking for you to "Trust Him." NEVER, trust anyone who has to ask for it. In the mean time, his dependability record will be running down the year until cleared.

Go back and read what JM has written in the past. If you do, you will find that JM disrespects any form of authority and hates AFA.

You will also find that he is a braggart, proudly acknowledges his excessive drinking, and openly proves his deviance through his own admission and lewd remarks. For all his bragging he has no self respect...he really is sadly pathetic.

I do not blame ANY female for not wanting to work in the same office under JM! The guy is a p--v!

FYI: Ever wonder how JM got hundreds of FA email addresses almost over night?

For a short time JM wrote the newsline for PHL back when Luther was LECP and Laura was the VP. JM pilfered his email list right out of the local AFA office. Morals anyone????

Why would anyone vote for someone they would NOT want to share a jump seat with? I do not know of anyone who would want to sit next to THAT! Why would I or anyone want him representing us?

Sally, I see that you are fairly new here. Welcome. It's not that we are trying to pit BH's against RSV's. What most BH's don't understand is, what goes on below their seniority level. Out of site, out of mind. Most do not realize how bad it is. Most will just fall on "We all took paycuts.". That doesn't cut it, due to the fact that they go into every month knowing they will get a full months pay and full per diem. That is not the case with a RSV. A Rotating rsv system would wake a few people up to this issue. But not to worry, our fearless leaders would never go for that. They will just say. "We are grieving it" Why didn't they grieve the hell out of no Pref. Bid. Becuase it wouldn't be a good system for BH's.

Thank you for the greetings. I do understand the plight of the reserve system. What needs to take place for the betterment of all is for the pitting between the two groups to stop. We need to stop dividing the membership and stand as one. There is always more strength in numbers. The company takes great pleasure in seeing the membership fighting and that has to stop or we will get crap for a contract and I for one do not want to see that occur.

Word up... Grace jones, VP might resign too. If both the VP elect and the Sec. elect resign before taking office March 1, the next candidate with the most votes takes the positions.

If they both wait until March 1 when the term is to begin, it will trigger an entire new election.

Someone should let these two know.

Wow, I don't know how you do it. Full paycheck ever month. Full per diem every month. SAP every month. Bid Sheet option every day. ETB every month. Hang in there. Help is on the way, you poor soul. But not to worry, we all took paycuts.

😀 It's been rough. I've been through serious therapy sessions over it. All this flexibility is hard to juggle. Bidding for one month, Sapping for another month, keeping my eyes on the ETB, going on the AIL before NOON!! I should up my Prozac.

I can tell ya that I am sick and tired of people saying, "Let's not pit the reserves against the blockholder". I personally don't take it personal towards the person I'm working with. I'm reserve and know in my heart of hearts that it is THE UNION that divides us. THEY make the deals with management to protect items for blockholders while the reserve suffers. I don't believe in taking away from the blockholder to save the reserve. It SHOULDN'T have to be that way. It is practice though to save all they can for the blockholder while NO improvements are made for the reserve. The 24/7 rule is case in point. They made changes for the blockholder like dropping the floor and stuff. What on Gods green earth did that do for a reserve? We are STILL suffering and neither the company nor the union cares. I don't care what any union rep says.

Normally I would agree with you but not this time.

I believe this has more to do with ones SAFETY rather than ones lack of desire to serve.

Do not blame any female for not wanting to put herself into a situation where she might have to be alone, in an office, at night, with JM.

The combo of his bent, size, vino consumption and assertiveness towards women are a dangerous combination that no female in her right mind would want to be alone with.

The majority of FA's are female (over 85%). Should they not run just because some p--v wants to? Should we limit the pool of possible candidates just because some guy wants to stroke his ego?

If so then expect an ALL male union leadership...actually we pretty much have that already.

Well as reserves all we had was seniority. No we don't even have that. Guess what? Preferential bidding effectively does away with the bid sheet and that is in the contract! Why it has not been implemented no one knows for sure (though we really do know). But rest assured, it will be! I, myself, have contact Jerry Glass to question why it has not happened. It will happen! So kiss it good bye.

I am a reserve and I will tell you I did contact as many people who were running for office as possible and I asked many questions and made a careful decision before I voted. Yes, that is right. I am a reserve and I voted. Wow! Reserves have a brain! I didn't know that! I thought they were all stupid. Anyway, I DID VOTE but I DID NOT vote for John McCorkle. I spoke with many reserves who were only voting for reserves and some of them who know JM told me he hates reserves. The only reason John got voted into office because of those damn newsletters. He just wanted to be in office so he wouldn't have to work on the airplane anymore. Duh! If things aren't going my way, then I do have a right to address it and complain because I did vote and the people for whom I voted were not elected.
