What's new

VOTES ARE IN

Okay PHL Flight ATTendants listen up! Without John McCorkle in the as Pres, YOU voted in 3 RSV flight Attendants! John will be representing your group through the next negotiations.
So, like him or not, you'd better get on his good side so he can do good by the blockholders or we will get a contract that is all RSV benifits.

You don't know how it works you say? The local office Reports to the Joint Negotiating Committee (Mike Flores, Carol Austin) to find out what the members want. So like it or not, John, Grace (RSV)and Dan (RSV) and Omar (RSV) will be deciding what we get!!!!

You'd better start liking John, all you blockholders!!!!!
Yah, highly intelligent post; let's pit the reserves against the blockholders! 🙄 Brilliant! How will they be deciding what you "get?" Grow up, they will represent everyone equally.... I for one am happy that there are RSVs in there that know the contract, but I highly doubt the BH's will suffer....

I believe the nominations closed in Charlotte. If there is anything CLT can learn from PHL it's that apathy breeds contempt.
I hope CLT has a better voter turn out than PHL.
Less than 45% turnout is deplorable! 😱

Was Donna Ford a reserve?

Dan Sampey was not voted in, he won by default.
Difference there.

However I am glad that the Reserves have an elected voice.

Hey, here is a grand idea you #$%hole, how about a contract that benefits both reserves and blockholders! You see, unlike all of you self serving, lazy, whining blockholders, the reserves realize that it is not only important to attain improvements in reserve language, but also blockholder language. This is because some day reserves will be blockholders. Unlike the blockholders, who could care less about what happens with reserve because the chances of sliding backwards onto reserve are not too great. Except for, of course, during the last contract negotiation when all the blockholders voted yes for LTO thinking they would never see it. Now we have what, 17-18 years seniority sitting on reserve....hahaha.

Now that is a funny statement. Our LEC reports to our JNC, to see what members want. If that was true, A. Crawley and G. Talley would be calling M. Flores twice a day, letting him know that their rsv's are not happy with this new(not really new, since it has been here since Oct 2003 with no Pref. Bid) system. Sure, you say he knows that, but they should be calling him everyday to ride his ###. I look forward to what they are going to try and sell us on this time.

This is not a reserve vs. blockholder issue. This is a flight attendants vs. the company issue. Hopefully this group will pull together and let our voices be heard.

Now is not the time to fight amongst ourselves, but to push our union reps to stand up and represent us!

Has anyone heard who is running in CLT?

Yea, Cathy Campbell for President with John Humphrey as Vice President.
If the FA's in CLT pull a Philly  uckup, we will end up with AC and the pain will continue.
It may anyway because of Philly, but at least we have a small chance at redemption.

Put a rotating rsv system in and that would wake some people up. Imagine the shock on a BH's face if the found out our union supported a rotating rsv system. LEC's would never go for it. Not only already upset rsv's would be calling the office, but now a whole group of others would be calling. Might have to get a 3rd person in the office to answer the phones.

Come on folks. The pitting between blockholders and reserves needs to stop!! We all need to join together and stand as a group for the betterment of all!!!!

Just got a call that Jon McCorkle (aka LA Jr)Grace Jones and Donna Ford won. Not sure on the Council Rep position. How do you like for shocking and we get what we vote for  The company is doing the dance of joy
UPDATE
OMG   Just when you thought it could not get any better. Word has it Donna Ford has informed AFA she cannot support the elected officers and has resigned. This is wild!

YEAH For John!!!!

I am only aware of two candidates votes:

Celine Deluca 75
John McCorkle 274

There still is Andy, Terry, and Brian yet to be out.

I did hear that the elected Sec/treas has already resigned because she knows she will not be able to work with those who were elected.

I am sure John will be putting in Laura to help with all the dues $$ in PHL to cover the sec/treas position.

I will never understand why f/as just don't actively participate in casting a vote for their representation. So easy too...phone balloting is quick and simple. Takes about 3 minutes. This kind of stuff happens when there is a poor turnout.

I Did And I Voted For John!!Finally New Blood And The Old Witch Is Gone!!!!

Hopefully, they take away the bid sheet!!!

TAKE AWAY THE BID SHEET!!!
TAKE AWAY THE BID SHEET!!!
TAKE AWAY THE BID SHEET!!!

If I say it enough, maybe it will happen!!!

I believe those days are numbered

Hula,

I am out of this deal...been for quite a while. I only post my opinions, just like everyone else.

Don't go by what I say...time will show true colors. I know John and I know Laura. THey are very close. It was Laura who alerted Teddy X regarding the trouble John was in with the company a couple of years ago. Laura was not in the Local back in 2004. They have been very close friends for years, and she'll be in the local.

All the members have to do is ask for the fpl sheets at every local meeting. He has to bring the budget to every local meeting that is conducted.

Thanks Pit But We DO NOT NEED Your Opinions Any Longer!! Move On!!

Why?

I’m just curious.

Because I Like John And He Will NOT Back Down To This Company!! Like Some Of The Other USELESS LECP'S We Have Had Here In Philly! I Know, I Have Been Here Since The Base Opened! That's Why I And The Majority Voted For Him..We Are Sick And Tired Of TG And Her BullS@@t Group!!

OK now help a poor customer understand your math.

Approximately 2,200 F/A's in PHL, 795 of whom voted. Since when is 36% a majority of anything.

Of the 795 who voted 274 voted for JM or 34.4%,

Of the 2200 total only 12% of eligible voters chose JM.

I'm just real interested in how the vote can be construed as a Majority by any definition of the word.

This is not a knock on JM. I met him once on a flight. Nice enough guy. Maybe he will rise to the occassion and lead. But to say he had a majority of the vote defies the basic principles of Math.

You Know Piney..Your A Smart Enough Person That I Don't Have To Explain Anything To You Because You Will Just Put A Negative Spin On It Any Way!!

Majority: One Who Wins With The Most Votes!! Or One Who Wins With The Majority Of The Votes!!
