Yassa, Massa Doug I's be dere in a jus a minute wit you beer, I don't knows why you let 'dem boys of de ramp be so uppity wanting water when it don't even be 90 degrees"

It worked, I can make you post whenever I want.

Good night.

Pax be with you.

Robbed I agree, Here they don't provide bottled water only some one riding around on a Cushman with water & that's if you see them. Quite frankly(at least in my work area ) there are days I never see any one.

Wasn't there a stink a few years back when catering was giving out bottled water? I seem to remember someone telling me that an additional 40K was spent on water that year in CLT....

but it was probably hot humidity etc. In my station I would like to (though it will never ever happen) see two clueless shift managers and the clueless sta mngr work one flight by themselves on a day like today or tom when the humidity is very high and the heat is in the uppers 90s very little wind, and see how they survive without water for a flight and see if that would sway their opinions. Ive been told that the reason we are not allowed to have bottled water is strictly due to camile soto ordering us not to have bottled water

i don't understand why any station would have bottled water for their employee's ... are they still providing free caiver at lunch break ?

Your stations managment needs to buy large water filtration systems which cost a bit up front , yet over the long run are quite cheap ... here in PHX we have them in every break room , and during the summer we have people who are OJI fill up water coolers and drive around the ramp dispensing water .... cost effective but it works ..

we had grilled dogs and burgers two weeks ago when it was brutally hot. and that came out of the 1800 we had that had to be used by june also i agree we should have those huge waters things in the breakrooms but of course our local mgmt is clueless and listens to the hurricane sad pathetic etc

No I didn't pull that out of my ass, I got that off of *GASP* OSHA's website (http://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owadisp.show_document?p_table=STANDARDS&p_id=10624) Your employer MUST PROVIDE WATER! It doesn't have to be bottled water, it doesn't have to be in a cooler, it needs to be two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen.

Also, if your water fountains are in unsanitary conditions, if OSHA doesn't care, your local health department will.

*EDIT* Immediately after posting I noticed that this was in a section of the law regarding construction. There is no section, that I see at least, pertaining to airlines. I don't know what that means. Common sense would say that construction workers wouldn't get better or worse protections, but legal items by definition don't follow common sense.

*EDIT #2* Here we go...

http://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owadisp.show_document?p_table=STANDARDS&p_id=9790
