Hello Ms. Laura Glading,
I'm extremely upset with the latest announcement by this greedy compAAny. Something needs to be done to prevent the furloughs from happening in October 2009.
I pay $41 per month in union dues, along with 16,000 or so other flight attendants. It's time for the APFA to get off their duffs and do something. We have been going backwards since 2003, when I voted no and the majority of us did on concessions. Somehow the APFA let the voting open for another 24 hours and our contract was destroyed. Please don't say you had nothing to do with the concessions, when you were part of that negotiating team.
Please take your negotiating team over to 4333 Amon Carter Blvd., Fort Worth, TX. 76155 and do something to stop the 1200 furloughs from happening. It's obvious nobody wants to take a leave. Only 80 put in for the latest PLOA. The APFA and AA need to offer a SOLID and I do mean a SOLID early out package, so these senior mommas will leave.
It's the APFA's job to save our jobs and get us a contract we can be proud of. So far, the APFA is failing big time on both of these issues.
Please reply to all, since I have copied many flight attendants on this email. I want them to be able to see your response too.
Upset and not a proud member of the APFA,

Hi Everyone,
Sorry but I feel the same as ******on this one. I was screwed by APFA in 2003 and have the feeling that I'm in for the same in 2009. I have always felt that the APFA looks after the most senior F/As and the hell with us at the bottom. Think you have a budget issue now, wait till you loose dues from another 1,200. Think that's about $49,200. Think instead of Roadshows, maybe you all are needed in Dallas to work on saving our jobs. I voted no on concessions in 2003 as did most everyone I have talked to. Water under the bridge but fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. If furloughed and recalled, I will not support the APFA and as of today I resign as a info rep. Why should I support an organization that does nothing to help keep my job? Perhaps it's time to have a new union representing us. One that's not sleeping with the company! And as *****, please respond to everyone that this e-mail was sent to.
