The IAM is unique in that they agree to sign a letter of
secrecy when in negotiations. They are not like other
unions who are transparent with their represented group.
They do not have hot lines that membership can call from
anywhere in the states to get updates. Even the TWU updated
negotiations with specifics on their website.
This transparency would mean the IAM would have accountability.
I dont think that is their style. Members of the 141 negotiating
committee will not disclose the information you want even in Lodge
Meetings, at least not in CLT!

I just found it on the Hub. Looks like the company has taken a page from the union textbook on just printing out a "highlight" sheet. I'm sure they are not giving us all that with nothing back in return. Would really like to see some of the details of both proposals.
