T-shirt looking shirt, yes. Looks great. Better yet, NO ties! Gotta love that. For some reason it is OK for Eagle to wear Polo Shirts in the carribbean and MIA, but we can't even get a Hawaiin shirt anymore. They don't want us to look like the Hawaiian agents! What!! We already look like an agent everywhere else. That was/is AA's choice for us to look alike, except it is verbotten in Hawaii?. AA doesn't get it. Josh, I live in the NW. Would be very happy to not commute. About the union thing, I don't think with the AA, NW and DL F/A's that want a union, DL would remain union free for the F/A's very long. It was fairly close last time. AA F/A's are VERY happy having a union. Don't forget that there are around 16,000 AA F/A's. Probably with just AA and NW it would pass. Who knows till it happens though.

Well my first post:

At this point its a rumor since I have no proof, this Tuesday American will announce US Air is buying them.

I'm not sure how to take this, but two days to wait is not long. It would not surprise me as every major announcement during my career at American has been on my day off. I have Tuesday off.

So much for this rumor, it sounded plausible, but thankfully not true......... YET........

Any airline that is interested in acquiring AA will wait till the
1113 process has been completed.

On a day when the most significant news from the airline industry was that DL is putting seat belts on its tugs, airline stocks were up slightly - with DL leading the largest US carriers.
No word if Wall Street likes DL's risk-aversion to employee injuries, if the move was a sign of further turbulence in the industry, or if LCC's rumored plans had any influence on the movement of its stock price (or lack thereof) which remains elevated based on speculation regarding a merger. It is worth watching if LCC execs are cashing out stock options.
