Why is the dispatchers T/A hush hush?

Just wondering, why haven't we heard the details of the dispatchers t/a? I know there is only about 180 of them, but I would like to hear what they are offered. I can't even find mention that they even have a t/a on TWU's negotiations website!

Because it would cause the Fleet Service T/A to be voted by a wider margin than what is already going to happen.

Same reason M&R talks have been cancelled.

First off you need to find out if your dues are just for the mechanics or do they cover the Dispatchers also.

and second since the Dispatchers are being paid above the industry average according the company we site,is that what is instore fore maintenance?

Remember the Dispatchers make more per hour than mechanics, so they pay a larger dollar amount than the mechanics.

You would have to ask Jim Little. Remember he is a dispatcher and the BIG union leader for the dispatchers at AA. Taking care of their own.

You are absolutely right about that 787. Amazing that dispatchers with a 6 week education to get their ticket (not to disparage them since I have an ADX) took me 200 hrs to get my ADX and 2000 hrs to get my A@P and yet dispatchers are welcome and actually have to ride in the cockpits for fam rides but we are not welcome as grease monkeys. Kinda funny though only two work groups mistakes cause actual aircraft crashes and that is pilots and mechanics bar none. But somehow we are still vilified as scumbags in the industry. I guess a lot of that is our own fault. We have a lot of unprofessional people in the ranks and WAY to much diversity in the fact that in maintenance you can be a total tool or a rocket scientist and it all pays the same. In Dispatch or pilot you have a specific flight to work but in maintenance those that cant cut it a lead will send out a guy who can do the job and that guy gets beat up because he actually can get the job done and the tool will go about his business and draw is paycheck. This is why I HATE maintenance too many dumbasses in the ranks and others have to clean up the mess. This is why dispatch makes more and always will. If I was younger I wish I gone that way and stayed out of mx.
