What's new

Will PHX be connected to anymore EAST cities in 2008?

Add to that PHL-DSM, PHL-OMA, CLT-ICT, CLT-ABQ
Would this not be a great way of connecting the dots such as PHL-OMA-PHX-SAN as an example.

Would this be a efficient use of A/C? It looks almost like a SWA kind of routing.

You would gain East & West PAX plus the throughs.

We could add many new destinations while making our way to PHX and vice versa.

We have counters, ops, ramp already there. It would seem an easy way to increase revenue whithout incurring a great deal of expense.

PVD-PHX could work. BUF, ORF, RIC, and ALB would be on my list as ones to to look at too.

Southwest already flies non-stop from PVD to PHX.

An acquaintance of mine, who lives closer to BOS, and even closer to MHT, makes the longer drive to PVD to fly Southwest when he travels a couple of times a year to PHX.

(NB to management people reading this while you're supposed to be working: The term "non-stop" has been a part of airline jargon for decades. It means flying an airplane from where a lot of people live [say, the Northeast] to where most of those people want to go [say, where it's warm in winter] without making those people stop at another place where they do not want to go [say, Philadelphia]. For further enlightenment on this subject, you might want to Google the words "Southwest", "JetBlue", "Delta", and "Airtran")

Would be nice to see PHX-MIA again. Bring back LAS-DEN. I thing CLT-ABQ makes a lot of sense, or TUS and SAT. 🙂

PHX and LAS to MSY and MIA.

MIA...No way...US already has too much capacity in PBI/MIA/FLL...I'd say throw MIA out and give AA the route and focus on FLL/PBI since US is going "Low Cost Carrier" and catering to the Ma n Pa Kettles.

PHX to anywhere one way

There is so much money to be made getting people out of a brain dead godforsaken hellhole.

If you like PHX stay there it will rise from the dead in a thousand years.

with all the connections US can offer via PHX, and the fact that WN just cut one of the two PVD-PHX flights, there is ample room for 1X PVD-PHX on US. The good news on this idea is the ability to link a lot more smaller, higher yield west coast US markets with places like PVD. As of today, PVD has 1-connection options on US to SAN, LAX, SFO, SEA, and PDX - thats it. PVD can suplply a good number of passengers to places like FAT, SMF, and the Mexican Riviera to help fill the plane with more than lower yield local and deep discounted LAX fares.

What in the world are you talking about?
What part didn't YOU understand? What I mean is the more EAST crews you have on the west coast you run the risk of crews not making it out there or something happening WHILE out west with no crew to replace them if need be. Not to mention all the hotel costs involved. Why not create a mini crew base of sorts out west if they are dragging us out there to fly up and down the west coast. We have quite a few f/a's that live on the west coast who would gladly jump on the opportunity. A little easier the second time? 🙄

hopefully no more to hub cities the way they load or should I say don't (zone load flts) your guaranteed mbrs everytime an inbd phx hits the gate
