The union keeps saying this January the realignment in base maintenance will look very different from the current roster. I wonder if the forty mechanics from line maintenance are comming over to base or will there be layoffs? When Tom Mcmullin held a meeting in PIT 2 1/2 years ago he said the new 5 year lease they just signed for the hangars was just a commitment to occupy the buildings and is nothing more than a month to month lease, meaning it can be modified (he was answering a question about us getting the test cell back and bringing in more work to PIT, if we did bring in more work where would we put it). So if it can be modified to get more space I'm sure it can be modified to reduce space.
