It won't happen anyway (probably) 😛 it was my own hypothetical. I just think people should really stand back and see why people were so hurt.

You are right people were hurt. In the end after 911 people were going to be laid off and whether they were from AA or TWA people were going to be hurt.

here we go again, the big twa aa debate. the way i see it everybody got screwed in the deal except carty and compton. people need to just live with it. and before everybody starts screaming at me about who side i am on, i am a laid off twa/aa amt out of mci and stl. and i have come to the conclusion like i said earler that everyone got screwed.

Because you could not take your seniority (which you agreed to waive) from a dead company and throw people out onto the streets who have been with AA for 15-20 years. All you had with TWA was STL and MCI. What you had after the purchase was STL and MCI. You had NO right to come into an AA base and throw long time nAAtives on the street.

<_< aa----- How many times do we have to tell you! No one here want's to, or wanted to, hire any school bus and come down there to MIA, TUL, or AFW for that matter, to take your job!!! As it is, not only have you taken our Seniority, but our ex-TWA aircraft are now worked elsewhere!!!While men with 1986 Seniority go out the door! So who's taking who's jobs????😉

Maybe not an AMT from MCI. But I know for a fact that a bunch of ex-TWA rampers (enough to fill a school bus) went from ST Louis to some 25% stations and openly displayed their joy that they were bumping nAAtives out. In fact, they rubbed it in the nAAtives' face. And since TUL (and AFW for that matter) is relatively close MCI, how many, if they could have used their TWA seniority to go to either, would have went?

And put you all at the bottom of the seniority list. Remember what goes around comes around.

Then you'll just have to add Southwest or Jetblue to your lawsuit to get full seniority!

Yeah, remember when TWA really SCREWED the Ozark employees? Those red types have some nerve..........

Alaska is the only one that makes any sense.

In theory, it certainly does.
Given AA's merger track record, though, an AA takeover of AS would almost certainly turn out to merely be the THIRD time in 20 years that they've absorbed and then rather quickly dismantled a West Coast-based airline! (R.I.P. OC and QQ...)

I concur.
DL would be a headache. NW and CO are married to each other. AA doe not need another TWA (US or UA) fiasco.
B6 and WN philosophies way out of wack with AA.

sorry full seniority, seems like spelling is first thing to go in old age, lol.

Oh, please. US/HP?

Here are a few of the descriptions I've heard this week:

"a train wreck in slow motion"....

"People Express and Frontier all over again"

"Project dumb-bell"

It isn't even worth worrying about who will be the next to merge after this one.

Can't tell if you are being sarcastic, or are just misinformed....

OZ FA's...straight DOH, no restrictions or fences
OZ AMT's, etc.... DOH
OZ Pilots...DOH, some fences/restrictions and a protected cell for Captains

maybe some non-contract folks got screwed?
