You know your right , safety first . To be honest with you , I have to admit I’m one to sometimes ignore the safety rules in order to get the job done fast … I’m starting to wonder if I should change my ways and work by the safety guidelines … However I’m not going to give it more thought until after the 3 day meeting on the 21st . . I guess what I’m saying is if this company doesn’t care about me , then I will have to make sure that my number one priority at work is me and then everything else second .
Hey Freedom...
I enjoy reading your posts, you're very opinionated and I share many of your thoughts on things affecting our work group. Let me tell you if you aren't sure about this yet... the company DOES NOT care about you as an individual or US as a workgroup. We are bottom feeders and the company knows this. The company has hired us to perform a job, they give us marginal resources to get this job done, and it is the improvising by certain motivated co-workers that take the initiative to cut-corners here and there and risk my safety, your safety, and everyone else's in their path. Are we getting anything out of it, nope... We aren't paid enough to take initiatve or be proactive, we are just numbers to the corporate scum that runs this operation, unfortunately. Like it or not, we aren't doing favors here for anybody. If this airline is comfortable with mediocrity, than that is what they will always have... until they pay people what they are worth and the morale improves, this will always be an issue. Just my .02.
Hang in there, let's hope our patience pays off this time....
