Concorde is too quick: I want some pampering

On the LA run recently, I watched one American change his seat three times before take-off, demand his dinner ahead of a single drink being served, and then keep one of the female cabin crew squatting by his side while they meticulously went through the photos of his house renovation. I think he might have been an only child.
My friend Barbara believes you can always spot those passengers who are paying for themselves because they''re determined to get through as much free champagne and food as they can.
I''m not sure about that. But it is easy to distinguish the super-rich or super-powerful from the rest. Even in First Class.
