2015 AMT Discussion

BTW in case you guys haven't noticed. When it comes to the negotiations both Fleet and Maintenance negotiate at the same time, in the same place and have TA'd pretty much the same Articles together. They confer together, share notes and ideas, get along, like and even go to lunch and dinner with each other. And even a few at the bar from time to time to unwind where they pick up each other's tabs occasionally.

Now before you say anything they do negotiate with the company separately but there's a lot of intermingling otherwise and certainly a lot of mutual respect.

Certainly not how we behave with each other here on old Airline Forums.

That's why me as a amt want our own separate Union. Plus there not picking up the tab our union dues are paying for that. And if they get a long it's because there not like you. Where you belittle every body on here that disagrees with you. You find it funny disrespecting mechanics on here before they were deleted. I worked hard to get my license so you can take your disrespectful attitude and twu loving ways i want say the rest. If another mechanic I here is supporting twu I'll show them your post hopefully it turn them to AMFA because you made the case for amts getting another Union

No they pay for the beer out of their own pockets. And I NEVER said that you didn't work maybe even harder than the average to get your license. And I ONLY disrespect INDIVIDUALS on here who disrespect me as an individual with his own mind who can post and comment anywhere he likes on this open Forum as long as the Moderators have no issue with it.

I can guarantee 100% that I have more respect for people in your class and craft than you do. Have you ever picketed for aircraft maintenance issues? Wrote to your elected leaders voicing your concerns about third party MRO's? Ever actually stood face to face with a Congressman and brought up those concerns? I have!!!

C'mon Mr Big shot aircraft maintenance advocate. Tell me what you've done?

I even signed the petition that you guys started and let die that sought to classify you as skilled labor under the DOL. Did you even sign that little tiny act of trying?

And you're damn right I support the Transport Workers Union and by defecto the TWU/IAM Association. And I support Airline Mechanics, Fleet Service Clerks and every Unionized and non Unionized worker in our industry just looking to earn an honest living, whatever that means for them.

You have a problem with that? Too bad.

Association get a clue?

They walked out on the company, not the association.

The Assocation knows how the members feel.

But once again you a WN employee blames the Association and not management , but yet at WN you blame management not AMFA.

Double standard much?

How's those AMFA negotiations going?
Yes the asso. needs a clue.
I know they walked out on the co.  Why do you think I said nice show of unity?
Dude now you need to get a clue. I have always blamed BOTH management and the asso. and the TWU at AA, Always...
No double standard here, like I said get a clue.
Better than your's, oh wait I forgot, your not even involved, get a clue.

I suppose this is what you call mutual respect?

Picking on a guy about his grammar and spelling?

I can tell you, that particular guy can pretty much out troubleshoot anyone when it comes the the avionics package on a triple...

Irregardless of his spelling and grammar you have no idea, with whom you deride.

Just goes to show your intolerance and narrow mindedness.

Just as I figured one of you would respond. No they are not in the same rooms when they are dealing directly with the company and not every issue has been settled for TA at the same time and some of those issues absolutely are different and unique to each workgroup.

But they all have mutual concern for each other. Although that may bother some of you guys for whatever reason.

Hey remember when the company wanted Fleet to take over the towing of aircraft? You haven't heard anything more on that since have you?

Not even curious why?
Do you think because they are separate rooms that they cannot speak to each other? If it is not Fleet directly standing on the coattails, the negotiators do talk to each other, if you think different you are lost. Mutual Concern? They are only there for one reason, to protect the flow of dues to the International's. The mechanic's will be very lucky if the get anywhere near Delta plus 3%. If it does happen Fleet will  be the highest paid of their profession good luck. As for towing the aircraft. I will yield to the Line Stations for their opinion, as I am at TUL. Actually I could care less what Fleet is assigned as long as I am earning what my peer makes within the airline industry. As I have never been under the dark cloud of IAM socialism, I only know what the TWU has produce and it has never been industry leading. One other thing concerning Towing, why should a representative want to work out any deals with the company to take away any work owned by any class or craft. But it must of been ok? After all the mechanics are the minority right?

I give up. You win. This is honestly some of the most ridiculous nonsense that has been written on these pages. How can I even try to argue with this pure level of lunacy? This is past the point of being a mental sickness to me now.

The only thing in response to this incredibleness that I'll say even though your mind will have to look for the warped twist it can conjure up, is that the Fleet Presidents told the company to take a hike on taking over the towing.

Otherwise I give up. You win. Everyone's out to get you including me. Ok? Satisfied?

Hmm? Maybe? Anyway I'm out of this thread. That last comment by Buck blew my mind. I'm simply out of air for this.

This conversation and this thread ABSOLUTELY. It's all yours. You're all completely like minded on here and there's no room for anyone else to have different opinions. Even if they're from Mechanics.

You guys ran off the only few rational people you had coming here.

Overspeed, RealityCk, and Dawg. MetalMover I'm sure will be next?
