Just wondering and if you guys bid shifts and days off or do you have rotating days off? and how often?

The three realignment bids mentioned above are a minimum. The Company, at their discretion, can choose to realign manpower and conduct a bid more often, but usually its the standard 3 per year unless a major change takes place in headcount, up or down.
The realignment is conducted by the company. Each employee submits a permanent bid (which they can change at any time) that is kept on file by the company, (and the employee keeps a copy) with a list of shifts and days off in the order of employee preference. At realignment time they go thru them and days off and shift are awarded by classification seniority.
The above applies to those working under the Maintenance & Related CBA.
