West fleet service now paying IAM dues

Ask your boy Armedio.

The company was free to do as they please when your CBA was abrogated, the language was given to everyone, you guys ratified it, bottom line.

And MTC loses pay seniority after five years on furlough, that is new.

Apparently you do not understand what a contract abrogation is and what happened in court.

Problem is is that every time we called that armedio clown or any of his hitchmen, they NEVER RESPONDED nor would help. so if that is the IAM FLEET SERVICE WAY well LOOK OUT WEST your next dont expect much help from those clowns

I know your broken record response by heart already 700.
I fully understand what went on, but I also believe that the IAM did have some room to work on some of the contract issues, but didn't make much if any effort to do so. The PHL goons sitting at the table did what little they had to in order to take care of their own. I would have hoped that someone higher up at the IAM would have had enough brains to look at what was taking place at the table, but we all know that never happened. How did the company change the CBA language at the 11th hour by eliminating the MLE stations, and adding PVD & BDL to the class 1 list without the IAM saying NO??? Stick with what you put on the table to begin with, but as usual they let the company have their way, and permitted the change to take place. To me, this would have been the ultimate time to say, you made a change, so now we need someting in exchange.....
Like getting rid of the flawed recall policy...

You say you understand what went on but yet once again you said why didn't the IAM say no.

Well it seems you don't know what went on, because your CBA was ABROGATED, do I need to explain the defination to you?

The company had total control over what they offered you to vote on, do you understand this now?

All you had to do was vote it down, your coworkers ratified it rather then to stand up to the company.

Bottom line.

BOTTOM LINE is is that all of the ones in the HUBS and BIG CITIES knowingly voted for it KNOWINGLY that THEY WERENT being OUTSOURCED. THAT IS THE TRUTH. I agree that the IAM SHOULD have negogiated better and may be they wouldnt of loss so many of their fellow membership and raised the dues. But oh well. I just hope one day that the IAM gets what they deserve. If the F/As Pilots and the inside agents all got better deals then obviously it is a no brainer that the IAM was not willin to sit and talk with mgmt. they wouldnt even allow members to vote on the 15.00 an hr across the board NO EXCUSE FOR THE LOWLY IAM

The bottom line is, every group on the property had their contract abrogated, every group went into abrogration with recall rights, and every group came out of abrogation with recall rights except fleet.

If it walks and quacks like a sell-out, it's a sell-out.

Why blame Armedio? He was the instrument: the district and international were the players.

Moreover, IAM has been flexing their muscles on the mech side about setting Hemenway straight. Great!

Any chance some of those muscles can be flexed to rectify the fleet situation?

Are you really this much of a Moron??? The ABROGATED CONTRACT was presented to the IAM, and set for a vote. This very same contract that was forced upon the membership as you state, was ALTERED at the last Friggen minute by the company. Please tell me how something that was supposedly handed down and approved by the Judge got changed afterwards???? Did the Judge say OK, go ahead and alter what I approved to give yourselves 60% of the eligible voters in class one stations?? I don't think so, I think the while the IAM was in bed with the company, they said, "Let's make this LITTLE change, so there will be no complications with the CBA passing" with flying colors. You are so damn brainwashed with this 1/2 Azzed organization, that it is PATHETIC already. Until your brainwased Butt is out on the street, you will never see the light with the IAM.

Wings396,

IAM District officers bragged at the info meeting how they had "improved" the company's "final" offer. Armedio spoke, but Canale was there.

In fact, the bragging took up 8o% of the meeting. A few minutes were dedicated to q&a, and when the question "how do we prepare for a strike?" was asked, everybody headed for the exits with an "I'll get back to you."

One reason the vote was "yes" was, no one understood the full implications of a "no" vote.

There was some debate as to whether it was even legal to strike under BK.

The IAM provided ZERO guidance to fleet, and now they blame the victim.

The only groups that had their contract abrogated was Mechanic and Related and Fleet Service.

The Maintenance Training Specialists, Pilots, FAs, CSA and Dispatchers did not have their CBAs abrogated.

Hey Wings, guess you dont know the defination of abrogation:

Function: transitive verb
Pronunciation: 'a-br&-"gAt
Inflected Form(s): -gat·ed ; -gat·ing
Etymology: Latin abrogatus, past participle of abrogare, from ab- + rogare to ask, propose a law -- more at RIGHT
1 : to abolish by authoritative action : ANNUL
2 : to treat as nonexistent <abrogating their responsibilities>
synonym see NULLIFY
- ab·ro·ga·tion/"a-br&-'gA-sh&n/ noun
Who's the moron?

Abrogation means you have nothing, the company presented a final offer to the membership to vote on, that was thier choice, they could have imposed any working rules and conditions on you.

The CBA was not approved by the judge until the members voted on it, then the judge approved the CBA. Until then the company was free to revise the offer until you voted on it and the changes.

And the CBA's were also contingent on the Creditors approving them, and had a clause in the Profit Sharing for it to be determined and it was changed by the POR.

Like I have said, you DON'T have any idea of what actually happened, you have been wrong on so many things all ready, why don't you actually take the time to find out what happened instead of posting wrong information all the time.

You are still the moron in everyone's eyes on this board..
Except for you own that is. I do understand what abrogation means, but how was the companies own final offer changed AFTER....Yes, AFTER they presented it to the IAM, and the Membership for a vote??? We had it in Friggen PRINT, and they altered it afterwards. Since you are not even in Fleet, and have not been affected by this IAM Screwjob, why don't you just get lost already when it comes to FLEET issues. There are plenty of Mtc. and related issues that will enable you to CHEER for the IAM.
I have NEVER chimed in on ANY Mtc issues, as I could care less about them, and they have no bearing on me. You are trying hard as all Hell to impress some top IAM brass with all of your defense of thier lackluster performance as a Union.

If you did have the arrogance and gall to chime in on a mx issue, he would be the first to shoo you away.
