2 330-200s coming soon

These are 330-200 series. The 340 I don't know where they are coming from. Swiss has some but not shedding them.

My crystal ball says that USAIRWAYS will be getting 2 330-200s from Swiss International Airlines VERY SOON!!! I am seeing also - they will be on the east certificate and flown by east crews..

East certificate? There is only ONE certificate......the East.!!!!! You must have missed that memo!

The 330 First under Wolf was not to be outdone. It was to his specification PERIOD. And no one questioned it because we were proud of the product! Now, it's willey nilly because no one cares. It's slop on a white plate no matter how nice you smile. I was so nervous serving that product in old 1st. It was as thought I were serving Queen Elizabeth II. The china was shaking I am sure! Like the neighbor lady Elizabeth on Keeping Up Appearances....LOL

And Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced "bouquet") is another of my very favorites. I have the whole series on DVD. Hyacinth would be absolutely appalled at what the Envoy class is served. Richard, of course, would be grateful for any attention from the flight attendants.
 
My wife and I non-revved over to Frankfurt when we had it. What an awesome experience. Had the pajama's even. Even as non-revs, we were treated excellent. I asked for a couple of bottles of Baileys and the flight attendant said they only have the large bottles(so I said "just bring 1 then"). Great crews and service. Wish we had that back.


I have a pair of the pyjamas (sleepsuit).

They are very rare, maybe they will be worth something to a collector someday.
 
My understanding is that the A/C in question are A340-300's, not 330's. Perhaps I heard incorrectly? They would be the first of the ( up to 5) 340's we will need for China and will begin service on TLV.
Anyone have the correct info?
I am not sure that SWISS will sell their newest aircrafts A340-300 . They just started to recieve them a couple of years ago ....
Swiss is growing this Winter with new schedule flights to Delhi and Santiago de Chile via Sao Paulo ( more frequencies ) ..... They need those airplanes for their own services .
About A330 ... Swiss has 4 or five old versions of A330-200 as well as 2 new planes . Both configured with two different layouts - First , Business and Economy F12/C42/Y142 , another - Business and Economy C48/Y182 ..... Seat pitch First - 89'' , Business ( old style ) 55'' and Economy 32-31'' . Business class seats on those planes are "Craddle old style" with only 150 degree recline .

I would imagine that a US configured A330-200 would be something like C30/Y210-220 or C24/Y220-230

My crystal ball said the same thing as far as the 330-200s. Apparently someone was in ZRH last week kicking the tires. Supposedly they will be thrown in the air as-is for the 2008 Transdebacle season, and then cacti-fied during winter 2008. I imagine Tempe is horrified at the amount of Business seats... should be interesting setting customer expectation high then re-doing them in our third world regional standards.

DOC will be happy with all the upgrades he will be able to sell so that all of his pax can enjoy the American Experience in Envoy. I think AAmerican should sue US because nothing US does is close to the service levels AA provides.

And by the way, EMBFA, AA does have liquid creamer--at least they did on my last flight. Thank God--I thought I was going to have to start a protest and poll on the AA boards.
 
Who knows - I bet they could give FUNG - WAH a run for their money ... LOL... My crystal ball also says they will stay in the configuration of 12 first and 24 business.. at least for awhile....

Those Swiss seats are miles ahead of anything US has ever offered. Full flat beds and every seat has an access to an aisle.
 
Well this is really an old rumor that never happened, but I hope it's true this time. The Swiss 332s are mostly 8-9 years old and would easily, fully loaded (at MTOW), do TLV, IST, SVO and ATH (as examples) from PHL. Just as a note the 332s are about 20 feet shorter and hold approx 40 less passengers than US's current 333s, but they have a "reasonable" range advantage of about 1500-2000 nm (5500-6000nm) over US's underpowered 333s. The Swiss 340-300s would be a real prize, since they are all less than 5 years old - unheard of on the used market today. As the earlier poster mentioned though, why would Swiss get rid of their only ULH aircraft in a fleet of only 11 when they are in fact still acquiring them? I'd speculate this rumor is more likely for the 332s.
 
You know all about the Swiss efficiency 😉...Now if US could take a note or two from our brothers in Zurich.
 
The planes are currently 12/42/140, DespAirways of course wants 20/260ish. I'm hearing they are haggling with them and it might not happen.

Hmmmm - very interesting, I heard the deal was done... Who knows... Leavie it to the sandcastle to screw something up though... I can't imagine Dougie talking to someone from on the east much less someone overseas.... Since we are on a BUCKET kick.. I lovethe one when she has the Vicker over and rose shows up in all black threatning to commit suicide.... I laughed so hard :lol: :lol: :lol:
