Tim, given that you seem to have some insight as to what's going to be offered, please inform us about any retro pay information. I have brought this item up several times in this thread, and never got any positive vibes from CB, PRez, or anyone else that should be somewhat in the know. If you don't want to post specific s, feel free to PM me something.

cB and prez tabled full retro a while ago. Also, yhey agreed with AH that the wage imputation for the 2012 and 2013 wage increase at microscopic so you wouldnt have got as much retro anyways. They teamed up with AH to block a big wage increase for the TWU. AH needed that. I got mixed emotions about them bringing this mess back. On the one hand, it will finally kill them off as the altar boys they are, but it could prevent me from cleaning the mess up.

But if you saw yhe movement ftom them that made the mediator and AH smile wide, nobody except orag and others who want to retire could possibly vote for these clowns.

One thing is sure, after the truth is revealed, 700 and roa will either have to say that Tim is right and withstood the personal hate onslaughts against him, or they will blame the membership.

Mark my words.

clt will get a full copy of what these knucleheads already tabled in negotiations if cb or mf arent man enuf to show our members all the downfalls of the mess that they have created in negotiations. As always, they dont want to inform the membership, ill inform them for them. Management knows what has been worked out, so should our membership.

Calm down. When you going to come clean with the US members and tell them you sold them out by only getting 3 spots on your team to 5 spots on our team. Or, could you not negotiate the spots? Which is it?

I don't dispute the past contracts have been sub par. The first 1999 agreement was gutted through two bankruptcies. The membership voting on "Final Offers" with the looming threat of having the existing contract abrogated. IMO... the 1999 agreement was very loosely written when representing grievances. Too much gray language; the company "may" or "when in doubt of a bona fide claim" or "based on operational need." When you're a Grievance Committee person or AGC this is the language you battle with. Representing grievances is the primary responsibility of an AGC. Shouldn't we be focusing on track records and experience representing grievances when considering the candidates for AGC? This is mid May. Elections in my station are a little over three weeks away. You should know... In the political arena a lot can change in that amount of time. Retirement? Nah. If my job gets outsourced I think I'll bring my 34 years to a hub for awhile. Semi retirement.

the strength of any grievance starts with a negotiation team that can actually understand language. Unfortunately the experience of 141rising has killed contracts and is presently blowing up our own. Its a disaster and history tells us that their complete lack of academic skill sets means more gray in this contract than a USS battleship. Thats one reason why i chose to support someone going to law school over charlie brown. Nothing against charlie but he is simply incredibly over his head.

can only hope any new TA includes scope protection wages brought up to at minimum AA wages and or grandfathering all the cities we currently have and then go for jcba with better enhanced everything.        its gonna be interesting to see what happens in DFW this week.     Good Luck CB Prez and the entire NC team

what are you talking about?  I've already said that I support someone in law school from MSP over Charlie Brown.  IMO that was a no brainer to have additional members on the eboard that have a better understanding of the English language.  If I were thinking politics, I would have went with the less skilled Charlie Brown for votes, but thinking about the membership, we went with a guy from MPS who only has about 50 votes.

 
 

Being in law school doesnt make him AGC material and how is someone going to be able to travel all over the system and represent the members if he is in school?

I already told you that I was asked to be on the team. That said, I fully support how the team came about as it guaranteed the same full time spots as any other ticket to US AIRWAYS members.  I did decide to support AJ Lindell over Charlie Brown for the non full time spot since Lindell is a law student and I put extra weight on education when I can.  I think a big part of our negotiation problem is that we have members in there that are simply incapable of really grasping contractual language.  Doesn't mean they are all dumb arses, just means they lack the skill set to properly represent members in negotiations.  In short, it has been nothing more than disastrous and caused serious harm on our membership.
 
At any rate, are you suggesting that your team F the continental group since you only put on 2 of them?
