I have no doubt that you have scars, all of us that have been around for the last thirty years have them, unfortunately most of them were not received in 'battle" (EAL, NWA and a few other exceptions), most have been self inflicted as we accepted the scars because we were told if we didn't we would get worse. If they were battle scars then we would have something to be proud of, instead they are marks of shame. By the way I too am very pessimistic about the intentions of management, seeing how they treat their own is a good indicator. The fact is that they took everything they did without any real resistance, they came and took it all and it cost them nothing, not one day of operation lost.  You guys exited BK EIGHT YEARS ago, and now you are voting on a deal that brings you up to what AA came out of BK less than a year ago with. How pathetic is that??!!  VOTE NO and make it public that you want and expect the full support of your coworkers in the TWU to get a contract that is not one where the terms were set in BK. Don't forget profit sharing either!
Let's wait and see exactly what is in this.  A lot of rumors out there how we gave up part time rules and the scope got a drop dead date prior to the ammendability.  The highlight said scope for the entire duration but others have said that is inaccurate. The negotiators refuse to talk about health care as well, and that this deal does nothing for part timers. Whatever the case, I'm beginning to wonder if this is maybe a cost negative deal and not even cost neutral. They refuse to bring it out due to political elections. Hopefully, they will have the deal online after the officer elections next week.  Until then, who knows but it doesn't look good if the negotiators intentionally only put out a wage scale. Why put out a wage scale and bias everything, it should have all been put out together if anything was going to come out.  Something is wrong.

So Tim you and the people who read this thread don't think it's just a little irresponsible and disingenuous for someone running for an elected position to deal in rumor and hearsay?

If you were not running for a position and someone who was put out something like this, would you think that person is a credible source to get information from?

Everyone has to deal in hearsay and rumor and it was initiated by the current leaders who triggered the situation by tossing out the wage scale only.   In fact, every post on here is talking about the contract, i.e., a contract that we know by wage only.  The alternative is to leave the conversation if you are uncomfortable with it.

I said this yesterday and of course you ignored it, but I will post it again:

Can you ever stop stirring the crap?

Oh you cant cause it has to be all about tim and not what's best for the members.

All you do is speculate to rile everyone up, its enough all ready.

Wait till the language comes out for everyone to see, then you can talk about it, until then be a man and stop the baby games.

You do more at dividing the membership than to bring the members together.

You will do and say anything like you have for the past 20 years on your failed quests for power.

I'm glad you responded Tim. No I think I'll stay a part of this conversation. OK let's deal in rumor then for the moment. Weren't you the one when the TA was announced who put forth the rumor that Part Timers were now going to pay the same Medical rate as Full Timers and get the same Pension benefits?

Suddenly you're doing a 360 on that rumor you heard about substantial improvements for PTers? What happened there?

Did you realize "Wait a minute, putting that out there might hurt my campaign"????

No I wasn't.  And you know I wasn't.  What you should do, if you want to be fair, is instead of blasting everyone on here for your own gain,  at least reference things.  You will want this TA to pass, regardless of how bad or good it is. You don't have to admit it but your interest is in a joint contract, and that process begins after a ratification from any stand alone talks.

I'm not going to quote mine you since you get all weird when people do but yes you did say all that. I even made a comment about you taking a cold shower to get your boner down remember.

"You will want this TA to pass, regardless of how bad or good it is."

Let's roll with this. I gave you the math of what we will all be making on the industry averaging day. Guess how much I get above the 2015 pay rate if you guys did say yes.

.47 Cents per hour

So uh NO on your hypothesis. Especially if there really were items in your TA that could set the JCB talks back for years longer because of any major disparities.

But keep trying to paint pictures of me to shut me up Tim.

My bet is the US/LCC FS Members that bother to show up and vote will vote yes for ratification just based on the $ and SCOPE outlined in highlight sheet. M/R Members is toss up ? The Members are  seeing D-141 politics play out with the complete proffer (TA) trickling out and  the advantage for the RISING Incumbents will probably keep them in power ? What that means for the AAL IAMTWU Members ASSOCIATION and it's success going forward in SCS,JCN, and SENIORITY INTRO. is now the ? The infighting going on within D-141 and allegiances by Airline will be the major factor for the Membership in dealing with newly created Mega Carrier Incs.

.47 times 40 times 4 = $75.20 before taxes.

My electric bill over $100
Phone $90
Cable over $100
Car Insurance $80

Sorry Tim but I'm not looking to screw anyone if I can't even pay 1 lousy bill because of it.

Wonder if someone is using his non-rev privileges?
From Facebook Group:

Mail box had a few PM's so here are some comments back at everyone. Yes Shelly the election is almost over having only MCI LGA EWR SAN BWI left they can vote all they want but the decision has been already been made from EWR vote the other day. Nelson wanted a 1000 people to show up and what he saw he knows the game is over, reported that he left around 4pm. To Brian we don't think so since the reports we hear are leaning towards the sane voters winning the election. To Robert we would like to see their faces as well they must be in such shock and disbelief.

Hmm Interesting:

looking at that, what is the point of having elections at the remaining small stations when it sounds like the decision has already been made

Just like your TA until you see it in writing, signed, notarized and date stamped. It ain't final.

Has anyone know who won in the other cities on Wed? I know that turnout was light here at EWR. When I voted, I saw some of the "strong" unionists that were voting. But I know a lot of people did not take the time to vote, even though we had transportation to the site. Plus there has been some "shenanigans" with people putting out flyers with certain candidates name on both slates. But I think U4C won here, but I believe the ticket was split to a certain degree.

Politics is a dirty business (just like national and local). You don't want to care, but myself being in the situation that I'm presently in (work wise, I mean), I better care........ I just want whichever slate to stop the infighting and turn their attention where is should be......THE MEMBERS!!!!

Sorry about being off topic for the moment.

I hope that you guys get a positive TA.
