You do realize that it took over eight years for a JCBA to happen for the FAs?
 
The pilots are going on nine years now with no JCBA.
 
It took several years for the IAM to get JCBAs for the US/HP merger.
 
And this is from someone who let their brothers and sisters get laid off cause you wanted a raise, and then gloated about getting it passed.

You need a bit of a reality check on wages there Freedom. The notion that $20 an hour is a high paying job is way off. Keep in mind that my kids have worked several pt jobs over the years, which have paid in the $10 range. On the other hand there are also many jobs that start in the area of $15 out there. The starting wage at US is still below $10 as it has been for many years now. The people that you speak of at express or other vendors are all most likely entry level employees. I can only assume that you didn't see the newsletter put out by one of the IAM candidates that highlighted the fact that our top rate at fleet has only increased 59 CENTS over that past 12 Years.
So to sum it up for you, your new hire coworkers in PHX are basically in the same boat as Piedmont or any other fly by night vendors.

So AH reads the boards ? Shall we pretend as if theres no oppoisition and we are completely united in thought ?

Becuase if our unions goal is to head fake the company by pretending were strong and united vía message board postings ITS NOT WORKING .

So the pilots and FA's took forever to get joint TA's ,I guess we should be happy we arent like them then ...

You do have a point wings in regards to the rest of the country,west and East coasts in particular ...in Arizona a low cost of living state our wages arent bad ,but in places like new York and California ,no not so great .

as much as I hate to say it, I have to agree with you here
 
I will give you a plus 1 for that.
 
We might not agree on everything, but I want Fleet and M&R to get the best CBA they can.
 
I know I come off as arrogant a lot, but its frustating to see what is going on and the dividing of the members, its time to stick together and show the company you mean business.
 
The IAM isnt the NC, it isnt the District or the International, its all of you, you have the power to force the company to negotiate in good faith.

You choke now, then the company will have it's way with you during Joint talks.... That is a fact!  You are either in or not. That is what it comes down to. If all the information in the world doesn't change that streak on your back then hop on.

You wil most likely not get any raise in joints. Maybe equal to the TWU contract but thats it. Their M.O.U lasts till 2018. Do the math 2008-2018. 10 yrs with min respect......and thats just since you have been here in the IAM. What about those that have been through 2 BK's......Now ur talking 14-17 yrs

The company will have its way with us in joint when we have about a gillion more members and half of them are coming out of a BK contract ? Hahahahah I think not ....

You have to pick and choose your battles ...

what ticks me off about him is that he got his a few years ago , that's all good I get it.
but now we want ours it's damn sure way overdue and in turn he'll get more too but now he wants to belly up and go to a joint agreement where we all know a raise will be years away.
