I completely understand and agree with your concept. Building solidarity is what is desparetely needed at this time. I believe it can be helped along on this forum without revealing battle plans and schematics. Discussion and agreement on who the common enemy is in this battle would be a good start. If we can accomplish solidarity at the union and informational meetings, along with this forum, the "scouts" would have to report back what they have witnessed. Some members on this forum have used it, quite effectively, to spread dissention and doubt. It's time to use this forum to spread common long term Fleet interests' and solidarity and to refrain from those who use it to erode the fore mentioned. 

Operating within a public social media environment, like this forum, affords us no recognition of who/whom the enemy actually is within our ranks. It allows them to infiltrate, participate, share, and MOLD our ideas, and actions... it’s that simple... there is no-way to prevent that!
 
My suggestion is that this forum be treated for exactly what it is... and that’s a Bitching Board! It’s nothing more than a place for people to blow off steam... and/or play roles! It is NOT an official IAM Board, nor is it an official Company Board, it’s an employee, and anyone else that wants to read, and/or post board!
 
It’s just a bunch of people... Company, Union, employee, outsiders, and whomever else that has a axe to grind, an agenda, or perhaps even simply wants the entertainment!

You will also discover that droves of members are NOT flocking to this board for Official Information. Especially, since the Informational Meeting Campaign was initiated. I think someone said this earlier-- if you remove the superfluous non-related chitter-chatter, and multiple identity posts, there are probably less than 6 actual Fleet Members here that frequent the board!
 
Now ask yourself...why would a certain poster, spend upwards of 17 hrs a day, seven days a week in here attempting to cast doubt on the Union’s integrity, strategy, and transparency... especially, with such a small audience?

Cargo, I often wondered why have an election at such a very very critical timing here  esp with Sect 6 talks at an impasse   the NMB failures to do release us etc    but deep down, I seriously have to wonder what is the company gonna do next....   esp like this:   After the elections, will the company offer a secondary POS deal  or will the NMB release us before then or right around the election    I think these and some other questions need to be looked at and answered

I will disagree with you that few rampers read this Board for information.  I know in the PHX break rooms, rampers are using their internet connections to review the posts on the Board, and these people like to talk and speculate about contract negotiations and whatever information related to the company's future.  Even if only a dozen, they each probably talk to 20 people a day about something, as they tend to be gadflies.

You can't "time" elections to coincide with negotiations. Elections take place at two, and four year intervals, regardless if we are in negotiations or not. Negotiations can take anywhere from 2 years to 4 years plus, so there is NO WAY to control timing in this regard!

International election update

Fleet service workers participating in the intl election will be happy to know that jay cronk was comfortably ahead to replace president buffenbarger as prez of our union. The entire reform team is running to slash dues, sell the damn jet, and finally usher in electronic voting.

Unfortunately brother buffenbargers campaign was caught again by the dol of compromising membership information and giving personal email list to a hate group. Thus the dol just ruled that the same email list can be used by the reform team.

Last week saw a boeing local smash president buffenbarger and sito and roach by 1,500+ to 49.

This week, 3 more boeing locals are going.

jay and karen absolutely pounded roach and buffenbarger in den iad ord iah cle sfo pce. Same will happen in ewr which remains.

If jay wins, he should thank the F idiots at Team Delaney for F with the wrong peeps and triggering everything. Absolute idiots who have no idea on earth how to negotiate a fair contract and mess with the wrong peeps. They just dont learn.
