Where will they meet or will it be in front of the nmb?
They are meeting in DCA and yes the NMB will be present and called for this meeting, after the company informed them they had a proposal for us.

That is exactly the same information I got...

The NMB contacted the IAM on Wednesday April 9th to schedule meetings in Washington DC on April 31, and May1, in regards to Contract Proposals for both Fleet and M&R to review.  My understanding is the whole N/C team will be there to determine the validity, and diligence of this proposal from the Company.

The N/C has made it clear that they will review this proposal in detail, and it will require the unanimous approval of the ENTIRE Negations Committee, before being presented to the Membership as a T/A for ratification.

My hope is that this proposal is a serious effort from the Company to return Fleet and M&R to fair compensation, after years of financial and personal sacrifice...

Good Luck CB, and Prez, we know you have our backs!

Seriously dude, STOP! You are only being a jackwagon by posting the way you do. If you have something productive to say to the converstion, please by all means say it, but use proper english. How you post now only makes you look foolish and ignorant.

I do not support your ideology. I think the current condition of what used to be our middle class supports that observation.

The philosophy you have just shared with us will do exactly as it has in the past, and that is to create short term wealth for the wealthiest minority of Americans, while creating long term financial disparity for the rest of the country.

We could argue these principals forever, the fact is they are NOT working after decades of implementation and execution.

Believe me, if I were a good ol’ corporate executive on a golf course… I’d be lobbying against labor and preaching outsourcing as well. How else would I support my 500 times the average worker income?

I almost forgot, can you please provide the names of all the major retailers where I can find lots of merchandise "not" made in China. I want to try your don't buy from China suggestion.

Roa,
I too wish the best for the NC at this meeting. I'm confident they will review the latest proposal with due diligance. I'm not too optomistic, the proposals offered by the company, will be acceptable to the NC. I believe the proposal presented will represent "movement" by the company. Just enough movement to keep the NMB from declaring an impasse and subsequent release. i'm expecting a proposal that falls short of what the NC needs to bring back for any chance of ratification. In the meantime.. no release and negotitions continue under the NMB. I hope my assesment is wrong, but to date, I have not seen any serious effort from the company to return Fleet and MTC.& Related to meaningful and fair compensation for past sacrifice.

Cargo,

That of course would be a “worst case scenario”, although I agree, it fits directly into the past behavior of  DP and Company. We will just have to wait and see, I’m sure CB , Prez and team are aware of your observation as well...

I’m also sure the Company would love to keep everyone at BK compensation until a JCBA is reached. We have discussed the likelihood of the SCS filing by the TWU forcing that issue. My observation is that SCS will NOT stop Section Six at PMUS...

We’ll see...
