Correct me if I'm wrong but JCBA's are "zero" gain according to the company. INDUSTRY LEADING CONTRACTs are only accomplished under Section 6!!
Yeah, that's true. Don't expect much at the JCBA if this is what sec 6 produces.

Problem

Just told that there is NO SCOPE. PERIOD, for any non US AIRWAYS hub.  And that includes ORD!  And it doesn't matter if there is one flight or 20 flights a day for all non-class 1 stations, because they caved in on the helping hand, and actually blew their whole Joint leverage, so that there is no reason in the world for Ole AH to negotiate in 'non section 6 talks', if this is ratified.

While no us airways person can be displaced for the TWU [or other] cross utilization,  NONE in non-hubs will have exclusive rights ever again to our work from what I was told.  For instance, in ORD, there is 3 bag belts/drop areas,  that work can be shifted to TWU, and all bag running as well, provided no US AIRWAYS member is displaced.  WTF?   I'll wait for the language but if this is true then there is no scope.  Remember, scope is "Who does the work?"    Scope is not, "At least I have a job if someone else does my work".

Ok, now hearing that AMR wages isn't in there either.  And that the future pay increases past ammendability is 1.5% per year. WTF?  That would encourage Ole AH to never get a deal and use the 1.5% ridiculous pay increase as a de facto wage increase and brand it on the asses like he did the small 2%.   I'd rather negotiate a pay increase past ammendability than accept a 1.5% pay increase for that year.  That is a big concession and AH will definitely not want to negotiate anything prior to paying our group a 1.5% 2017, and a 1.5% in 2018.  Gosh I hope our group got something!  Please say at least AMR wages?  And bragging about how they didn't lose health care isn't a victory. What have they been doing for 3 years if these things are true?

As long as the cities can't be outsourced Tim I'd calm down ....What does it matter if it's TWU or IAM doing the work ?

As for the 1.5 percent , that's bad if it has an end date but fine if it continues on forever.

Signing bonus is a joke. After taxes that bonus is nothing. We need retro pay. Pay me what you owe me for the way that you ho me. This is a NO vote.
Lets wait to see the details. Like i said, a sheet is not a CBA in print. If the raise is from 2013 then lets add it up......but, lets see it first and not be judgmental. Don't skin the cat before you figure out what cat ur skinning

so freedom  if youre an IAM member its a ok with you to see a TWU member doing your job while youre looking at it while your out.

Tim, the way I look at the minimum flight is 1 mainline jet dept per day before the company cld outsource it.   As for the wage increase, it looks to me that it would be 3% across the board, then in Sept we would match AA top out   Correct me if Im wrong but that is how i see it  On the other hand  shld this be turned down, how much damage does it cost both the union  and the company    I say this bec if it does get shot down then the company cld come back and give a UA type deal thats worse

since our work would no longer be exclusive, im wondering who all can do it now other than us. If its just the TWU members at competing stations, thats one thing, if it is more than that then it becomes more complicated.

SPECULATION.

Plain and simple, Tim's mantra will be do anything to shoot the TA down, even before anyone has read the full language.

Could have told you this was going to happen, since he is losing the DL 141 election.

anything less than one flight doesnt have any work because then it would be zero flights, yes?
If a contract gets voted down then its because it wasnt good enuf for one of the 3 parties. Afterwards, you would be back in negotiations. If its unfair, then it should b turned down. The company needs a contract as well. As bad as ta2 was at united, it was still much better than ta1.

Getting the scope reduced from 56 flights a week to 7 is HUGE ! All the rest is gravy. Another week of vacation and an increase in pay. When and where do I cast my YES vote ?
You want to cast a vote w/o seeing a DATE?......not a good choice. What about how many it takes to revert back to insource?....What if that number is 65 instead of 21? Obviously i am referring to the TWU contract when i say 21.......

1500 is fine with me
$1500 is ABSOLUTELY NOT OK -VS- RETRO, but accomplishes two important things for the company and the Union, it buys the votes of the biggest percentage of members on the property, Junior 5-7 years or less, and taking care of the small stations (bonus is a TRUE bonus for them) ALL but ASSURES a strong passing vote to get this thing through !! Like it or not people, good luck convincing all of the more junior people in the system, and there is a LARGE percentage of them to VOTE NO !! Not HAPPY myself at ALL, but not sure it matters, it will be what the majority wants, and most will take that $ and RUN !!!!!

If the twu can do our work then this would have painful consequences in future years if a joint contract drags on for years.

if it keeps exclusive scope for all stations without drop dead dates and there is no sharing of work with the twu or anyone else then imo it would b a good deal even without retro.provided health care and other items werent compromised.
