Not really up to me, is it?  Nor will it be up to USAPA.  It won't be DOH and we'll probably have fences between us and the APA.  As I've stated before, it'll be Nic-like (if not the Nic) with fences.
And why is that so desperately important to you if you are an East pilot? I've heard many different theories and opinions about what will be and what won't be after the SLI, and you know what??? Only ONE of them is right. What gives you the inside track on the outcome?

The one thing APA might be afraid of is retribution by arbitrators for what they did to the TWA group. The NIC is no longer a concern for anyone except all of the junion west pilots posting on the board. They will fair far better with DOH than RP or slotting. Nothing to lose sleep over. Nic with a 15 yr fence around PHX would be the best for everyone!

Because I make the effort to ask other outside of USAPA.  Those guys in the office have been telling us what they think we want to hear and most of this pilot group laps it all up.  There are pilots here who have seen this up close and have very good ideas as to where this is going.  I suggest you find them and ask them the tough questions.

You forgot to mention that you're a liar.  I'd trust a thief before I'd trust a liar, but in your case, westie, you're both.  Trying to steal East jobs AND lying about who you are.

No they don't, every arbitration has favored what the want.

Every arbitration is different.   Saying all arbitrations went one way is willful ignorance.  APA has the most to argue on their own behalf, thus by definition the most to protect, i.e. the most at risk.  AOL has the least to lose, the least to argue on their behalf, and thus the most to gain in an arbitration, but no seat to do so.  USAPA has less at risk than the APA but the East are pushovers, with many in their ranks afraid of their own shadow, or addicted to self loathing.  It would be easy to convince the East that they have the most to lose by going to arbitration.  Think "let my daddy vote", think "we played them".

It would take nothing to scare USAPA about going into arbitration.  Nothing.  East pilots couldn't negotiate their way out of a wet paper bag, even if you turned it upside down.

If I were APA I would play on the East's addiction to self-loathing and trepidation.  I would argue like hell to get the West a seat to force arbitration (knowing they can't have it anyway).  "We will all jump into the bottomless pit of arbitration.  HAHAHAHAHAHHA."   USAPA agrees to let APA have all the marbles in a desperate attempt to avoid arbitration.  At the last minute APA relents to let USAPA capitulate (its the only was USAPA can feel successful).   Its the easiest ever negotiation, and gives the appearance that APA has rescued the whole process.

Then APA laughs all the way to the bank that MB was designed to make things fair, but turned out to make things easy... and the list is now backed by federal law.    You want to sue?  Get in line.

Not going to happen.  Not even close.

Calm down Bill.  I know its tough for small minds like yours to absorb these tidbits that conflict with your perception of reality, but a deep breath might help you move in the right direction.

All five of the last five did go one way, not DOH.

Your attempt to persuage APA to give in to USAPA  and avoid arbitration is noted.

APA is not afraid of anything.  They are too good at negotiations to ever show their own fear, and too adept at showcasing and magnifying the fears of their opponents.  USAPA leaders will fall over themselves to squeal like little girls and afterwords will boast that they themselves are the "players" that made herculean advances for the ungrateful and unwashed masses.

Hisstory proves it.

Which is ironic since this very morning - I had the thought you and the 2 other West posters remind me of Japanese holdouts emerging from the jungle 20 years after it was all over.
And we're still stuck firmly in the 1990's airline industry.

You don't think doh would be better than rp for a jr. west pilot? Rock botton vs. 1000 numbers? Whatever. Rock on, brother!

If a westie hates an eastie, and a westie claims to be an eastie, does the westie hate the one that claims to be an eastie? ;-)
