Don't feel bad there. My original entry mode into this whole mess, back in May of 2007, was pretty much a harmless: "Umm...Guys/Gals...This nic thing isn't going to really work. Can we talk?" Fat lot of good that did. 😉 All I immediately got back was derisive BS along the lines of "Final and Binding!" "It's OVER!...Get used to it!", a whole host of triumphant Nyaah, Nyaahs, adolescent nonsense to the extreme, etc, ad nauseum. Those folks have put a great deal of time and effort into becoming what they are, it seems. Some people simply can't be reasoned with.
P.S. I too was not in favor of taking the whole "Cactus 18" thing to the extremes it was. RICO notions seemed ridiculous to me as well.

Even here there are two west posters that keep things in perspective(I won't name them, don't want my shadow cast on them!). Heck, I think that even snappy and I would agree on more than we disagree. And then there are west posters that if they were east pilots I wouldn't like.
This thing is, this is like WWI. It has to play itself out.

Where things go haywire to the extreme in human society, is whenever we group up, and one or usually both sides self-determine to be excessively "righteous", "noble" and all the usual, instead of reasonably looking for workable solutions. Arbitration isn't a solution, but merely an admission that all involved in any negotiations weren't truly up to their taskings.
