WTF would you bring up Reno Air as a comparison to the present situation?
Is it a late night vaginal irritational? Some cramping that makes you feel vulnerable and alone? If you think that situation applies to the present day, you are a complete certifiable idiot.
Really, a complete JO.
Reno was a POS creation with every pilot hired after AA's 92-92 furloughees. AA started some cute deal where they pulled out of routes and the Next day, Reno was starting service with a code share or marketing agreement. AA put 800 pilots on the street and expanded the Reno deal.
Paying attention?
Then AA decided to buy that low ball carrier and tried to run it as a code share, which they would have done indefinately had APA stopped it.
AA now had to integrate the lists. Let's see, every Reno pilot working for half the AA pay and junior to every newly recalled furloughee. Relative position? Not really. They got what they deserved and are better off financially for it.
Now excuse yourself from the debate Claxon, Midol boy.
ER, I will buy the KEG when this thing is finished.
You really need to ask one question: If the Nicolau Award was final and binding in 2007, why isn't it in use today? Did a light go on yet?
Secondly, read the 9 th DECISION, not opinion, which you are getting from others. The Nic is over. And if anyone imposes it, they are going to court because they are not versed in NMB rule or protocol. Do it, and you are getting sued, and not like the West suits. This one will bankrupt you.
Personally, if the APA goes down the road they appear to, they are heading for arbitration. I suggest you watch your Uncle Bob Crandalls' Christmas Warning again on Youtube.
If you don't listen to him, be prepared for slotting where 1 AA pilot goes slotting with the top West Pilot, and East Pilot. Down the line. Good luck to the furloughed guys. I have nothing personally against them, but arbitrators do. Let them know you are risking their families and livelihoods.
I am tired off this career where pilots eat their young, and I am senior enough to be safe. But good luck to any and all AA pilots 1983 down going up against the America West group and masses of Airways pilots. Ignore Uncle Bob, let your fate be in the hands of arbitration you spawned.
