I wouldnt expect them too, nor do i expect USAPA to suggest putting a 1990 hire ahead of a 1985 hire. But Arbitrators, nobody knows what they will do.... Should be scary times ahead.
Real scary for thr APA, they have given up control....

That is a marketing decision, NOT an East/West issue...but I think you already know that. Anything to try to make a point huh?

Was it a marketing decision made by those managers who recalled East pilots to the West and then when the furloughes on the West were announced, they (east) were allowed to go East?

East takes care of East, whether it's union or management.
 
Usapa is a scumbag outfit, I have on strong authority the APA has already reached this conclusion. APA is in the final stages of euthenizing the diseased scums so as not to interfere with integration progress which undoubtedly benefits all pilots of the new AAL. The end is near, the scum will unceremoniously be put to eternal rest and our new union will certainly take care of the east in a "proper and swift" manner.
Remember to be good union pilots and sign up for dues check off.

Gee whiz. Here we go again. Same crap as the last 7 years.

A bunch of us have been excited about this merger and what it will do for our careers. Instead of being happy and looking to the future, we now have to look forward to endless court battles and appeals.

I pray the courts will strike down this crap once and for all so that USAPA will wither into dust and we can all get on with a promising career.

The tyranny we west pilots have had to endure these last 7 years since the Nic award was released has been immeasurable. EVERY west pilot has suffered and will most likely never be made whole again.

I will say it hasen't been all ucrapa's fault (age 65, fuel, mergers) but a LOT of it has.. And why? Because they couldn't live with a legal arbitration ruling that was agreed to by both sides. They saw a way using their superior numbers to take advantage over the smaller groupand they did. Disgusting.

As I recall in 2005, we were the host and you were the parasite and it cost West pilots their jobs.

That is completely above the pay grade of any East pilot. As for flight department management, they proved themselves to be no friends of the East pilot group either. The bulk of the growth and well being of this franchise was always East. Not leisure markets in the west playing second fiddle to Southwest Airlines. That is a fact. Look for PHX to suffer a fair amount of shrinkage as soon as it is feasible. That is my prediction and opinion. As for East taking care of East, that would be right out of the AOL playbook. West was invited to participate repeatedly and thumbed their nose at everything because you couldn't have the NIC. Don't blame us, blame yourselves.

Did you really expect anything else? It was inevitable that the fangs would come out just as soon as the talks started moving toward a SLI. Just read the first 5 pages of the brief APA filed with the NMB. They don't intend to negotiate. They intend to get what they want by any means necessary just like they have always done.
