Wrong son, DOH is alive on the east and working very well, please address how you are hurting your senior pilots they would be much better off with DOH, we are all waiting.

I've always been polite to you in person. Next time I see you on the curb in Philly, I invite you to address me as son.

Did you forget your trigger for the post, Brasky? It seems to me you are drawing a blank.
Nope.  I just decided I release some meaningless hot air, like you always do on here.

I appreciate your thoughts on West furloughs but what was the event which happened in 2005 which gave the East the opportunity to even go to an arbitration?
Is this the part where I am supposed to thank you personally for saving me? I won't. We had a good franchise without a management interested in running an airline. It doesn't matter how many mergers you go through or how big you get if your management has no vision as to what it's supposed to be when it's all said and done. THAT is what nearly stole our careers. AWE was facing it's own Armageddon without a merger or cash infusion. They got both courtesy of Lakefield and US Airways. AWE had no money to finance a purchase of anyone. That is why they call it a MERGER.

APA just claimed in their brief to the NMB that AA "acquired" US Airways. Here we go again.

It was a reverse acquistion by America West Holdings. Period.

Armageddon? More like perception. Once again, like you said, here we go again. Both sides presented their arguments on the finances of the companies to an arbitrator. He ruled the obvious that HP was in a better financial position and was hiring, Airways had a third of it's pilots on furlough, out of cash and options.

I'd say the argument AA acquired US would be more accurate than US Airways acquiring HP with Lakefield's money and influence with creditors.

You don't have DOH, thank Leonidas. You will never get DOH, thank Leonidas. We don't answer to U-saps, never have, never will, thank Leonidas.

Growth?
You get a snow storm and things come to a grinding halt.
AA is already sending international flying to Miami.

So....if Phoenix shrinks, I'll see you in Chicago. 😉
See you in ORD where they never get any weather. And no weather in DFW. Or JFK.

You should take some of the money you piss away on cars and buy a clue.

Was it a marketing decision made by those managers who recalled East pilots to the West and then when the furloughes on the West were announced, they (east) were allowed to go East?

East takes care of East, whether it's union or management.
Another idiotic post. The east managers closed the LAS base. Really? Really?

Who has been running this dog and pony show since 2005. Oh, that's right, Doug and Scott. Those moves were economic and they put the airplanes where they could make the most money. Period.

Obviously the west was indeed in a much better financial position, otherwise you all could not have afforded paying the lawyers on both sides... And you guys are stil in much better financial shape....you won't see any east pilots buying $675 ties!

The east is a big money maker, but winter ops are a handful. Thankfully management has gotten proactive with weather management/cancellations. While American/US was hit the hardest by the weather, United actually fared the worst. I don't think they have the same level of management that we and Delta do.

I read a well written article a while back about American post merger. Couldn't find it again otherwise I'd post it. It basically said CLT would remain a strong hub, but all international flying would eventually disappear. The article referred to Seattle as the best Asian/pacific gateway and mentioned Delta's big buildup there. United has a good hub at SFO and American will have to do the best it can with what it has at LAX (possible future growth). The author went on to discuss the different way LAX is used as compared to PHX and that PHX probably wouldn't be pulled down as much as some think. All speculation, but it was still a good read. If I find it later I'll post it.

Oh no.....I would not want you to think I'm being hostile in a hostile work environment created by malcontents who were fighting each other well before the acquisition in 2005.

I'll leave it the APA to put you in your place.

In the MD-80 out of ORD when the levee breaks.

If it keeps on rainin', levee's goin' to break,
When The Levee Breaks I'll have no place to stay.

Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan, [X2]
Got what it takes to make a mountain man leave his home,
Oh, well, oh, well, oh, well.

Don't it make you feel bad
When you're tryin' to find your way home,
You don't know which way to go?
If you're goin' down South
They go no work to do,
If you don't know about Chicago.

Cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good,
Now, cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good,
When the levee breaks, mama, you got to move.

All last night sat on the levee and moaned, [X2]
Thinkin' about me baby and my happy home.
Going, going to Chicago... Going to Chicago... Sorry but I can't take you...
Going down... going down now... going down....
