X2? How about 3,4,5......1600?
Mr. Gary Hummel,
Without due respect - each and every action that this so called union has taken since its inception has been done with the sole purpose of alienating and inflicting harm to the West pilot group. The latest in a continuing series of blatant misrepresentation is the forwarding of a letter sent to the BPR from one of our West Captains to management.
Was the hope to have management discipline this pilot? The hypocrisy! Your shameless BPR chose not to engage with the same disdain and measures regarding a letter sent to a Federal Judge.
Are we not entitled to free speech? Are we not allowed to question or criticize this so called union that we are enforced to pay dues to? Where in the Constitution and By-laws of USAPA does it say that members cannot and will not write unpleasant letters to the BPR? It is our DUTY to voice our own opinion with regards to the representation that each of feel we are receiving from this so called union. That is how a union works democratically.
The BPRs decision to send the West Captains letter to management speaks volumes as to where your collective minds are. Your backs are against the wall and you are running out of options the day that USAPA will cease to exist will soon be upon your East pilot group. At that point your petulant band will the minority and karma will rule the day. You may find comfort in a small minority of pilots in this industry that may believe in the Easts plight, but it is a small group. The vast majority of industry pilots finds your group abhorrent and in contempt.
My only comfort is in knowing that a majority of your brethren - due to retirement - will be off property by the end of the decade. At that point each of you can reminisce and reflect on a job well done.
