I was just reading the latest USAPA update...hysteria over the iPad.

"Tracking was and is a big issue with our pilots and we were very clear that protections against tracking a pilot must be part of any agreement."

Tracking...seriously? If you are up to no good, I'll bet your wife has a better chance of catching you than a damn iPad. Sheesh..,,

NAC Update - iPad Agreement

This week, the NAC, in conjunction with the APA Negotiating Committee, completed discussions with Management on a new iPad agreement. This new agreement will be contained in the contract as ‘Letter F’. The significance of this new letter is that by being part of the contract, it cannot be changed unilaterally by the Company as the former “iPad Policy” could. Any changes to this letter can only be done by mutual agreement. This agreement offers significant protections for pilots who act responsibly while using the iPad. It is an improvement over the previous policy and we feel it is among the best ‘iPad’ agreements in the industry.

Tracking was and is a big issue with our pilots and we were very clear that protections against tracking a pilot must be part of any agreement. While this new agreement provides protections against tracking and discipline, pilots still need to act responsibly when using the Company issued iPad for personal reasons. This agreement will not protect a pilot who engages in any illegal activity or activity that violates Company policy on electronic devices.

Now that we have this agreement in place, pilots can feel comfortable obtaining their iPad and using this technology in the performance of their duties.

"If you are up to no good"...? Wow! Words just fail me. How about momentarily try on just the basic notion that management has absolutely NO right to be able to access even any pilot's location whenever they please. So much for "you'se" having even the slightest understanding of all that supposed "Liberty" imbued in those ridiculous $675 ties. Would you have any problem with everyone being able to track those? 😉

Here's some suggested additions to the "spartan uniform" that might make "you'se" a bit more comfortable when you're next worshiping all things management: https://www.google.com/search?q=kneepad+pics&client=firefox-a&hs=KS&rls=org.mozilla:en-US😱fficial&channel=sb&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=pdlaU5eJGKvKsQSG-IKQAw&ved=0CCcQsAQ&biw=1920&bih=926&dpr=1

Here's a reason for USAPA's position you will be able to relate to.

It's necessary to keep AOL hero Munn from being canned for habitually surfing the internet while in flight.

Well, if you follow rules, procedures, the FOM, SOP's maybe you would not have to worry about the iPad so much.

BTW, tell your wife not to bend over in the potato patch. Taters have eyes...

So it's the old "If you've done nothing wrong, then you've nothing to hide" insanity? What unbelievable "logic"...Seriously; words truly fail me here. I'd almost thought that at least some slight possibility existed that "you'se" were smarter than THAT! Thanks for clearing that up for all concerned here. 🙂

The West has a high incidence of individuals that suffer from "Obsessive Projection."  There  is simply no other rational explanation.

That's probably because you don't have a moral compass, rather a rusty iron compass, scooter.

If that's actually "you'se" finest defense effort for your blatantly evidenced stupidity above, well..."you'se" have my fullest sympathy. 😉 Did you even glance at those links prior to posting this last asinine drooling of yours? Here's some more to consider:

http://www.wired.com/2013/06/why-i-have-nothing-to-hide-is-the-wrong-way-to-think-about-surveillance/  "...if everyone’s every action were being monitored, and everyone technically violates some obscure law at some time, then punishment becomes purely selective. Those in power will essentially have what they need to punish anyone they’d like, whenever they choose, as if there were no rules at all."

He thinks Duck Dynasty should be allowed to express a socially controversial opinion, as long as their boss knows exactly where they are, whenever they express it.

P.S.  If 2 or 3 people have asked the question.."Does the NSA have the ability to record audio and video remotely on a person's iPad, iPhone, or desk top computer?"  Then rest assured at least 100 people have already asked themselves "How much would the NSA pay for such a capability?" ... at least 20 people know.. 10 people have built that capability, and at least 3 people have built a business and sold it to the NSA.... the entrepreneurial spirit is far more resourceful than the spirit of paranoia.  The love of money does make the world go round, so to speak.

Munn and his ethically challenged sidekick Doyal have a group who hang on every misconception they push. Traitor is one of them. They all believe USAPA will not be present to represent USAirways pilots. A complete falsehood.
The APA is coming around, having made critical errors with the perceived power they had to circumvent the MB process.
William Wilder has shone the harsh spotlight of MB on the APA. The APA will abide by the process.
.

"Captain Munn and his few supporters have put out a constant stream of misrepresentations that are easily disproved. They want a return to the ALPA of old. They’re now on the outside, with no way back in except by replacing USAPA and receiving ALPA’s long-term gratitude".
