Need some information:

With the imminent demise of Usapa and this the removal of the only resistant element to the Nic, I need to see what seniority is necessary for clt 320 captains to hold weekends off. I figure I'm about 60% on the captain list once we combine ops in the near future. Thanks in advance

American and APA will take the road that avoids USAPA induced litigation.
Trader,

I think you are very optimistic because there will probably be litigation on this matter regardless of who "wins". The road signs all read "To Litigation".

There is nothing which says US Airways which will survive after I get the new uniform. It all goes in the garbage along with it's "legacy"
I must disagree with you on this point. US Airways legacy is the "new" American. And other than usapa going away at some point very little has changed. Although I have not thrown away the old uniforms they are not something that I leave around for people to see. When I retired I was given an acrylic trinket with my name on it and years of service. I think the company went to the place called Things Remembered to buy it for about $15.00. I have NO idea where that is. I do however have pictures from my career and enough good memories of those I worked with and met during my career to last me for two life times.

All the best,

Bob

Thanks pre! We've been far too long without yet another of your ever-prescient "T minus" countdown clocks. 🙂
Uh,This time the statement was qualified with a "may be" gone.

Perhaps a tiny ray of light's somehow entered in for her Bob...but wait...No. A following post removed that remote possibility. 😉

So "you'se" are still trying to be taken seriously...?....Really? 🙂

Nobody has to- the Nic is the only seniority list the company has accepted. Once Usapa goes away the only party voicing a concern over it will be gone. AoL outlives Usapa, AoL wins.
Then agreed to abandon, along with the other parties to the MOU. Didn't you read your own complaint?

By the time this gets done you might just be!

I completely agree with your philosophy there Bob.

As memory serves; wasn't it the attempted west case that they'd been somehow misled/befuddled and swindled, because apparently; they simply couldn't actually read and comprehend the MOU's contained verbage? That amounted to a courtroom presentation claiming universal illiteracy or simply wholesale stupidity. Who are we to cast aspersions on their claims?

Seriously though: is AOL really asking people for $10,000 donations nowadays?...Or is that just entirely ridiculous, internet rumour?

IF that rumor is true, my between-the-lines reading is that:

1. Marty is owed a LOT of money by AOL, and
2. Marty will not take this any further until his bill is paid in full, and
3. In order to meet deadlines for filing an appeal, AOL needs to raise that money quickly to pay Marty, and
4. Enough westies have "had enough," and
5. Marty is playing AOL like a fine-tuned violin.  Taking his kids through college on AOL money?  More like paying for several graduate degrees.

"Click to Donate" as they say.

Agreed.

As insane as it would now seem for anyone to even request that sum, well...it wouldn't honestly surprise me to hear the rumour's true, probably because it does seem utterly ridiculous, and yet so much has already been offered up over the years that is.

Perhaps the most idiotic quote of the week.

Perhaps.

But there is a lot of stiff competition from those westies for "most idiotic quote of the week" as they melt down, clutching at straws all the way.

I'm glad we have stadium seating here so I don't miss out on the marvelous comedy playing out as they become more desperate and shrill.

Be sure and copy in the APA with a request for the 60% Captain list in DFW .

It's nice to have choices.
