Fellow Pilots,

Now that the recall election is over, it’s time to get back to business. The Officers, BPR, and our USAPA committees will continue working together to ensure we meet our goals for the Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement and the seniority list integration.
Thank you all for your support. We have much to do. We as a union will be more effective if we all work together to get it done.
Regards,

The gracious thing to do would be to congratulate the winners, not accuse their supporters of being fools.  😀
. Unfortunately their win is our loss, but that's democracy, still can't believe 1000 did not vote. Well I guess will stay at the bottom.

. That's the joke of the year from dictator Hummel. Work together, now that is rich.

They were just vote counters right?

It appears as though at least one member of the Ad Hoc Balloting Committee boldly boasted of being a player, vigorously campaigned for the President, and actively solicited funds to oppose all the issues on the ballot.  Not that anyone is paying attention.

Many decent folks would be aghast at the thought  accepting an appointment to certify the ballots after doing such things so publicly...   Some would have considered it absolutely necessary to politely decline such an honorable appointment from the President, if not to protect the vital appearance of the President's integrity, whom they supported, then at least to protect the integrity of the membership voting.

Cheer up. It appears the players are still playing, and things will get a lot worse... if integrity matters.

Where is it stated that committee members don't get to exercise their rights to vote or campaign?  I saw plenty of it from the BPR members.  Your observation about the committee members resigning and deferring to the president to replace them only cements in my mind just where the "undue influence" was coming from.

None of the former members of the Ballot Certification Committee solicited donations to oppose the recall of the president that appointed them to count votes.  If that is over your head then I have nothing of value to offer you.

Cheers 🙂

DeWitt Ingram/Mark King

Referendum Balloting Ad Hoc Committee

Was DeWitt part of the conspiracy to throw the election to Hummel?

Take a deep breath and count to 10 before answering.

Phoenix,
If you have a problem with the election, then file an objection.  Just because someone has a position on the issue at hand does not mean his integrity is question just because he is appointed to count the ballots, especially since they were electronic and I'm sure there is a way to verify them.  Who should be counting the ballots?...Frear or DiOrio?...maybe YOU?

As far as I know you did not actively solicit or receive funds (freely available to the one who received them to spend the donations in anyway they saw fit, even to personally enrich themselves, as there was no promise or transparency related to the donations).

Your signature on the certification would have been greatly respected.  Seriously.

If that is also over your head I have nothing of value to offer you.

Cheers.   🙂

I apologize.  I thought I had nothing of value to offer you.  I was wrong.

Ad hominem arguments are the refuge of those who are too lazy to formulate a relevant rejoinder.

Cheers 🙂

The election?  What election?

Never mind.

Understand, baseless accusations were tossed about by alpa and west pilots after April, 2008.  The company has appealed rulings.  The west has and the East can too.  Think about it.

The brief has been completed and the filing fee included in a money order check form in an envelope, with a stamp that conforms to the new postage rate.

What does that mean?  I see baseless accusations thrown around on here all the time.  It's always pretty juvenile.

He said think about it. Postage affixed to an envelope was a clue. 😀
